my son turns 13 soon and again we'll be in lockdown so cant do anything like a party, see his dad or visit grandparents so I will be " borrowing " their deal or no deal idea for him as a surprise for his main gift. I liked this vlog it was different to other vloggers.

Don't Pick the wrong box???? was someone reported for copyright???

Kaci said she wanted to do something along the line of a personal trainer/PE teacher. She is going to attend sixth form and I am going to assume uni as well for a career like that. I think what I love about this family so much is despite them being so big on YouTube now, they’re still somewhat relatable. Most family you tubers by now would’ve taken their kids out of school and done home schooling instead and travel the world. I didn’t like the fact that Joel was edging towards the idea of home schooling as I know for a fact it would instantly make them like any other family YouTube channel. I like how Joel and Sarah have made it so Kaci does higher education incase her social influencer career comes to an end she has opportunities waiting for her that she got the qualifications for. So many you tubers Kaci’s age wouldn’t even think twice about sixth form or college and just want to carry on with YouTube. We all know YouTube won’t last forever...

P.E teacher you would need a sports science degree which encompasses biology and didn't Kaci say science was her worst subject. I doubt Kaci would do a normal degree followed by a specialised post graduate course which you would need to be a P.E teacher at a secondary level.

I think if YouTube is still doing as well by the time she’s finished school she’ll probably just do that full time. I can’t see her going to university or carrying on studying further if she’s able to work on YouTube. At least she’ll have qualifications to fall back on and the support from her parents if she does need to find other work.

I agree that it is odd she wants to do something along the lines of science when she struggles. Maybe she hasn’t actually realised the requirements to go down that career path

I personally would like to see her go to uni rather than go down the conventional YouTube route that everyone does.... I have a friend who’s a PE teacher and she was awful at science but she did just sports at uni and then went down the teaching route through some school program without the actual post grad or any of that... I think as long as she gets the experience of teaching and sports then she’ll be fine

She could teach as a sports leader but as someone who’s got a PGCE (not secondary) she couldn’t be a PE teacher. Any degree even sports is mostly essay based and you would need a very high level of written Eng. She could go into different schools and do workshops but that wouldnt pay much.

I don’t think Kaci has any intention of going to uni. And I don’t think the parents think she will either. I think her plan is to go on with YouTube/Instagram but not come out and say it because it doesn’t look good to say a 15 year old is going to forgo higher education and instead rely on a medium that like social media that can be so unstable. But if she gets to 18 and then says she’s decided to focus on sm, then there’s bound to be more of the ‘well she’s 18 so she can make her own choices’ attitude. And there’s always the argument of, you can get back into education but the YouTube fame might not be around forever so giving it a go while you still can.

Not saying that I agree or that it’s what I would push for, I’m just saying it’s what I think will happen.

You don't have to do a degree straight after school.....if she gets A levels and youtube starts going down hill she can do her degree or masters or whatever she wants whenever she wants.

Tbh she didnt mention doing higher education or college for the subject - I got the impression it was more bc she realised she would be missing out while all her friends carried on without her and that worried her. I doubt she'll go to uni like a lot of you have said as most her friends will be going their separate ways then anyway whereas in college, you're all still home. If shes passionate about something later, I see her taking a more practical route like an apprenticeship or something. Theres no pressure on her bc of the Youtube side of things so at least there's that going for her.

I can't believe Kaci sleeps with her laptop on, on her desk that is such a fire risk. If she needs sound (i get that, so di i) use a podcast or music app on her phone

Isn’t it the lithium battery that is a fire risk? Which phones also have? Surely having either device on all night poses the same risk

Joel was driving a different car when he was going to the office? Looked like a 2 seater but he still had the keys to LR and Merc on his keychain. I'm so nosey but it didn't look like a Merc interior and the a class hasn't been on their drive since they moved, I just assumed they sold it but he still has the key.

I think Kaci did just lay on her laptop and cracked behind the screen with her body weight? So they actual screen isn't cracked but behind it is. Still don't know why it wouldn't turn on tho.

It's not the battery that is the risk, the issue is it being left on a flammable surface. Laptops need to breathe and be used on a hard flat service surface and space for the fan to work. You leave your phone plugged in overnight on a sidetable, with podcasts you just set a sleeptimer. A fire could very easily start with her falling asleep with it on and on the bed. Its really not worth the risk.
