Interesting news. You have to pay for the tests privately though.
I agree with this though. It’s good that you can reduce quarantine if you wanted to get around it, if you really wanted to see family abroad this would be worth it. Travel is unnecessary though so I think it’s fair the tests are private.

Has anyone else's childs school done this?
2 bubbles bursts (X's kids tested positive), the school didn't let those 2 year groups in on Friday but have said all children (other than the positive cases) must be back in on Monday. This is the second time they have done this. Apparently it's PHE advice? It's gives me zero confidence in school, the bubbles are tit anyway, with parents and kids mixing before and after school on the site but the school are adamant this is what's happening.
Both kids were in school Monday 8.30-12, they had their test done on Tuesday and it came back positive Friday. So they surely would have been contagious on Monday.

If you refuse to be vaccinated and catch rona, will you still be entitled to free NHS treatment if needed?
My husband keeps saying this about people refusing to be vaccinated - I totally get the view point but I think if they denied nhs treatment there would be uproar.
Apparently the plan we saw yesterday would only work if ‘only’ 75% will have the vaccine voluntarily - if more want it it will take longer.
I think their being optimistic there. I am happy to take the vaccine once approved but im not sure they will actually get 75% uptake from the amount of people saying they won’t have it.
A lot of people will be questioning the government's continuing entitlement to their taxes, if they ever pull tit like that

I have many friends and family that actually work in supermarkets and have been abused by parents wanting to use vouchers for their hungry kids on cigarettes n alcohol on a regular basis! Then when they can’t do that they fill their baskets with junk! I’m all for feeding children but it’s their parents that need educating! Vouchers should of been only for healthy nutritious foods! No point feeding these kids with even more crap. How have we got one of the world highest child obesity problems and yet children are starvingFull of children who’s parents can’t afford to feed them
Education is needed bring back Home Economics and teach people how to live healthier on a budget. People in furlough that have worked all their lives are now on less income yet people on benefits who have,and never have any interest to work are on more money than they have had not fare at all to me !

The fact that the simple mention of mcdonalds sends you into this judgemental angry rage out of nowhere is sad.
Because I see it with my own eyes! Not everyone obviously,and no I’m not a benefit hater who wants kids to starve! What I want is for parents to take responsibility for their lives feed their kids properly and stop spending on unnecessary crap like fags alcohol, latest phones, takeaway, etc. If I thought for one minute ALL children were benefiting from these food vouchers by being fed decent healthy food that would therefore make them healthier happier and on the way to a brighter future then absolutely fabulous! But I’m not stupid and this isn’t the case unfortunately for many!

Yes there are people who abuse all the systems but I don't personally see the point in letting their children go hungry as a result

£2.99 never reared anyone.. if you think a child from a less privileged background deserves any less in life it speaks volumes about you and not "these kids" or their parents.And here we have it straight with the usual ignorant and uneducated crap! I myself have had to use the benefit system where my kids where younger. I know it is not the free ride some think it is! But I also know it is doable to feed your children well. Knowing that your main outgoing of rent is mostly covered. And knowing g that the money will be in your account regardless of wether you get out of bed that day. Once I regained employment it was sooo much harder and I had so much more respect for the money I earned! And also new that every day I had to get out of bed wether I I was sick tired or depressed or else I would not be paid! I have many many friends and family on benefits some are wanting to work many are quite happy and thoroughly enjoying the extra money and no it isn’t being spent for what it was meant to be FEEDING their children! So whilst you clearly I do not like my opinion I can assure you it is one held by many! And also I am very much entitled to it without being told I’m thick and ignorant! Is it fair that people working there socks off can’t even think about taking their kids to McDonald’s as a treat or have had zero extra help with money during this only has their money cut through no fault of their own! Not what I said did I do do not twist it! There needs to be a better way like I said maybe vouchers can only be issued for healthy food items! Let’s see how many kids are actually starving because if there was genuine starvation I’m pretty sure the healthy options would be eaten up?
