Well he’s backed by a whole host of Professors listed within...I’m sure they wouldn’t put their names to such an article....they mustn’t have realised he was a quack... so are all the ones listed on the Belgian one dubious too?
Like attracts like, so yes, they are all dubious too. You think any credible medical professional would want to be associated with someone who has pretended to be Professor of Oncology at Imperial College for 22 years?

One of my daughters has come out of school with a wheezy chest and cough to go with it. I’m actually surprised I didn’t hear from the teachers to come and get her. I’ll be keeping her home tomorrow as well as my other child. And presumably I’ll need to book her in for a test. I don’t think it’s covid, when she gets a cold she suffers with her chest so I think that’s what it is, but school guidelines say to get her tested and it’s better to be safe. No other symptoms as yet.

Don't know what to make of Sturgeons briefing ,it's screaming some kind of imminent lockdown to me 🤨

My interpretation of it all is that, in England at least, there will be a ban on household socialising. But everything else remains open with current restrictions in place.

Here in the CZ we had 2000 cases on saturday and 900 cases yesterday.

My local hospital doesn't have an infectious department, but the other hospital which does is obviously full so my hospital has started taking covid patients. There's already 10 in the cardiac ICU and more than 15 others spread around the hospital.

The doctor we were shadowing today told us about another doctor who had tested negative twice but they could see her x-rays weren't normal so kept her in isolation anyway until the third test showed positive and of another patient who came in for a scheduled stay because of issues with her diabetes, but only had a headache, no fever or anything else but they did an x-ray for her which also showed infiltrated lungs. Not to scare anyone but he also said it was worse number wise than spring and we're already at double the numbers before.

It's getting more scary now and I'm thinking of stopping the gym and becoming more of a hermit which i naturally am but I'm at the hospital 5 days a week anyway .🤷‍♀️

Yes 💯 thought that as well. Certainly additional restrictions within 48hrs have pretty much been confirmed, and we’re aware in Scotland that we have had numerous outbreaks linked to pubs. Curfews imposed maybe? I think she’d take a harder line that Boris has if she could.

It was just she called for a four nation response "but we'll do this without them" she said ,she also said "we can't ,won't wait this needs to happen now" .Bit OTT if it's only hospitality closing 🤷‍♀️

You’re absolutely right that would be OTT, unless she’s preparing us for the worst so we’re relieved if it is only hospitality? I think she’s going to put what she wants to Boris and if he doesn’t agree she’ll do it anyway 🤷🏽‍♀️ I have supported most of her decisions if not all throughout this, and I’m reassured that I don’t think she’ll impose any further restrictions lightly.

Seriously what credible doctor would put their name to an article without checking it first,my GP wouldn't even sign a sick note or a prescription without checking it 😂

Isn't that potentially to do with the fact she's been asking for the COBRA meeting since last week and Boris has been delaying?

She said she didn't see it being like back in March. I think she potentially wants it to be the same across the four nations so that there's no wiggle room with interpretation of areas. When everything started opening up again at different times across the country there was a lot of 'well they can do it in x, so I'm going to do it too'.

I think it's crazy that people who are in lockdown areas in England can leave that area and even leave the country. When we were locked down in Aberdeen it was back to 5 miles to stop it spreading outside the city, and there were police at various points on the roads. I don't think England ever had a distance limitation, even back at the very beginning, did they?

We were allowed to travel to another county but not stay overnight, that included in 2nd homes.
Although I can't remember if that was right at the peak of restrictions or when they were slightly eased.
The initial message was stay at home and we could exercise for 30 minutes a day but not sit on a bench if we passed one 😭🤣

The UK are a long, long way off numbers being worse than they were in the spring.

So who are these 'eminent doctors' who have written this letter? I can't see any of their names on there, and I would love to check them out to find out if a) they believe in any other crackpot theories (because the 'doctors' putting these theories forward usually do),
and b) to see if they are actually a practicing clinician

As if any legit doctor would put their concerns across on a site called 'docs4opendebate'.
They have it right on the website though?
