I went this afternoon and was surprised that everything was in stock!
I'm just out of Tesco's shelves are mostly empty but their stacked up with stuff on pallets ready to put out ,no shortage yet of food ,cleaning products or toilet rolls deliveries seem to be as normal..

Just saw a post on my friends status on Facebook, her young relative was supposed to be in hospital for a routine operation, had swabs as part of the pre-op and tested positive. Not been abroad. Must be everywhere and miles more cases than reported.
Yes we've just had our first cases of community transmission..

I thoughtso. My cousin has packets of liquid prescribed for there. That's the best I can describe it like little vials maybe

Partner spoke to 111 3 times yesterday (he’s been made to selfisolate) and got told 3 different things.

Also re - the figures. I reckon they’re skewed by the cause of death. Because surely if the single cause isn’t corona but complications due to (heart attack, cardiac arrest etc) they’ll log that as the cause and it technically wouldn’t count towards the stats?

What did they tell him? Will he get the test?

I had to take my 3 month old to hospital today. Whilst in there, there were so many old people and nurses wearing masks. It was so very surreal as we aren’t used to seeing anything like that usually. It’s crazy.

Our local morrisons has also sold out of most things. I went to get some nappies as our online shop didn’t have them available. The lady next to me had over 70 tea cakes in her trolley. It’s pathetic.
Our Morrisons wasn't too bad today to be fair - we went and did our usual top-up shop but whilst there grabbed a couple of extra pasta sauces/tins etc. All I noticed that was empty was rice and pasta - there was plenty of loo roll, meds, etc. Everyone just seemed to be going about their usual shopping too.

And also that people aren't infectious until symptoms appear, even though some are saying the opposite 🤷‍♀️
Our chief medical officer said ,they had the highest reading on the throat swabs from people that weren't symptomatic ??

as a teacher in the north west we know nothing. We are prepared for closure and will be sending work electronically each day if we were to shut. But as I say still an if
Same. Our director of schools emails everyday. They’re all in contact with dfe everyday and there has been no unanimous decision made according to him but be prepared basically for any eventuality.

Yep lots of medication isn’t compatible, but lots absolutely is compatible to feed with. I’ve been on strong stuff in the past for things like Bell’s Palsy and still been able to feed.

and always personal choice 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I just would hate a mum who feels unwell or has Coronavirus to see that post and think they have to stop, when in fact advice from other areas (including a world renowned specialist) is that you can continue. Just trying to keep the balance.
Totally agree but with all these conflicting and apocalyptic stories on the media what mother is going to want to? especially when they've said it's an "unknown" and no specialist can determine any outcome??

What do you mean “different for me”? Surely we all feel concern and sympathy for the elderly and vulnerable? Which in my case means not feeling totally comfortable when I see a photo of an elderly person, most likely taken without her knowledge, passed around the Internet to elicit the maximum shock/ sympathy factor. The hypocrisy is quite staggering.
Someone said she might have a stockpile of food that whoever posted it could have done it to feed their own narrative ,I'm just saying I take it for face value in the context it was meant ,everyone's opinions will differ ! I'm respecting yours..

Do you know if the person was feeling ill. Well i guess not if they went in

So the mail headline yesterday about the government not having harsh measures to try to get some herd immunity was real?! I missed that the chef medical officer was saying this in interviews today.

They don't know enough about the new virus or UK government have access to data that no other government does? That strategy may work in a few years when there is a vaccine. Just seems too much of a risk for my plebeian brain.
No I agree they are going by data from the ‘normal’ Coronavirus but I do think they are doing the right Thing( I never thought I would say that, as I freaked out yesterday) but please see my earlier post.

I should have been going to a wedding in Italy in May, the couple have now cancelled. I'd already booked the flights and hotel, so probably won't get my money back if Italy decide to let people start flying again in May, but honestly I'd rather lose my money than put myself at risk.

My mum was booked to go to italy in may, jet 2 cancelled it yesterday
