It was on the radio for here but I think sky news ran the story of Wales a few days ago
Okay. So as I can't currently find any actual data to support this, it's still speculation 🤷‍♀️

Well it's out there somewhere otherwise why would they be reporting it 🤷‍♀️ According to the Irish Post they want young people to only have sex online or do it themselves as there a lot of cases amongst the young ...

Yes for certain areas - but your point was we are not seeing more hospitalizations as the majority of cases are young people. There is nothing to back this up in the stats.

Giving examples of 2 certain places (which I'm not debating are valid) in the UK where this is the case does not mean it is for the whole of the UK positive cases, that's just speculation.

I've heard and seen reports from all over the world that young people had it and were passing it on, from Spain ,America all over not just Preston..

We were specifically referring to UK stats though. I'm not doubting it's in other places. But that would have no bearing on our hospitalizations in the UK.

The article you referred to was just about Preston and then you mentioned Wales which is why I said 2 areas.

I'm just saying, the theory that we are not seeing more hospitalizations as it's mostly young people getting it is speculation is all.

I think what I said was the reason there might be no hospital admissions is because it's young people that are contracting it and it filters through .That goes for everywhere not just UK ,,Then you asked for data to support this as you didn't believe that younger people were contracting it you said what's young 30 ? 40? and I gave you the Guardian example ,,The Irish Times are running a story today that 75% of cases are those under 45 with a median age of 33 🤷‍♀️ I'm only posting what the experts have said .. where's your proof that it's not the case ,you're speculating too  Why would the UK be different to any other country ?

I just like people to back up their statements with data is all. Otherwise it's just speculation. I've noticed some like to give their opinions as though they are facts. Your exact words were:

"plus it's a lot of young people that are testing positive they don't usually require a hospital stay it's when it filters through they said"

This sounds like you are saying it is a fact and I wanted you to clarify who 'they' were is all. We were directly discussing the UK data.

I merely asked for evidence to back up your claim which you could not provide. No point getting annoyed with me because I have asked you to back up your statement. I don't want to argue just would prefer to see the evidence.

Obviously I can't prove it's not the case either, and I have never claimed it isn't as like I said, I can't find data specifying ages.

Anyway we are going in circles and I require my bed 😂 agree to disagree i suppose.

But like I said it was reported on the news Lancashire's director of public health said 47% of cases are young people under 30 ...It was on the BBC news he said they usually get a mild form but carry it home ..

This is the best I could find. Basically everyone is speculating and boomers are blaming millennials. Typical 😂
Apart from Preston I assume we have no proof it's just speculation and young people assumed to be scapegoat.
Naturally younger people socialise more and have to go back to work because Boris told them too.

Older retired people maybe don't socialise as much and sone being extra cautious and not returning to normal as they were told they vunerable and only just finished sheilding.

School age children haven't been at school.
So naturally to me it would be 18_55 that more likely to get it.

It is also not possible to say with confidence that there are any differences in infection rates across age groups, while there is currently only limited evidence of differences in the percentage of individuals ever testing positive between people of different ethnic groups, based on the data collected so far from the study.
But of course it is still the young people!

The there's just not enough studies.
There was doctor on sky news who said there will no doubt be many localised outbreaks in UK but the reasons for them will all vary.
The media and general public always speculate.

Ie Leicester that was down to garment factories and many generations family living together.
Preston it's young people
Aberdeen is feckless footballers and oil workers on the lash.

We know bame people can be badly affected buy we don't know if its genetics or if it's life style and under Lying health conditions like obesity or diabetes that make them more vunerable.

Then there's whole it affects low income areas where some have front line low paid jobs so more exposure to public, live in cramped overcrowded poor housing, poor lifestyle and diet that could lead to underlying helath conditions they maybe unaware of as access to gps in many areas is problematic at best.

Seen plenty boomers at pubs, garden parties, shops , salons and restaurants so just blaming young people who's life chances are far worse that their own is bit rich.

I truly believe when senior schools go back we going to have mass outbreaks.
I dont believe kids don't get it and infact others as we have seen nursery and primary schools shut.
I'm hoping our senior school improves it's virtual offering and has decent plans as they still not told is what going on.
I guess we will see with Scotland.
If we see mass outbreaks we have 3 weeks to English schools return.

I think it’s difficult to say xxx people are getting it because I read it on xxx because I swear all of the media are just spouting whatever crap they want about the virus. I don’t think we really have one reputable source for data etc, especially not the government.

This last week things have felt the most 'normal' for me in months, I did some online shopping (had to order multiple sizes) then returned the unwanted to the post office which was fine. Then had a proper date night in a pub saturday night with lots of wine, then went into my local town to stroll by some water which was nice when not near the shops but around the shops it was crazy busy and not a lot of social distancing happening, one woman even walked into me i was very taken a back. Not sure ill be going near the shops again but apart from that it was lovely !!

The unions are really pissing me off now. Totally agree all they care about are teachers and not pupils.

No other industry gets the ridiculous demands that they are asking for. I totally disagree with what they are trying to do. Children NEED an education. Stop trying to delay this.

They're calling for one week in one week off how are working parents going to manage that 🤔(if there's a resurgence)

I feel like there is such thing as “corona guilt”. Just had the boiler serviced and I didn’t make him a drink because the kitchen isn’t big enough for us both to be in there socially distanced 😂

Then before he left he’d pointed out what he’d touched so I knew what to wipe down, but I’m trying to do it out of his view as he’s sat outside in his van, again because I feel guilty. Like he’d think, “oh charming, she clearly thinks I’m full of germs” 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

I find it shameful reading through their list of demands.

No thoughts given to the pupils futures and wellbeing at all IMO.
