Sorry if this has been covered been off my phone all afternoon. Does anyone know the deaths WITHOUT the lags added? Or where I can find those information. Numbers seem to have gone right up again today 😔. Just wondering if theres been alot added on from previous dates.

Hospital in my City has today mothballed all excess vents and cancelled orders for new vents. Had a 100 bed ICU anyway, 50 beds were allocated for Covid, those 50 beds never got full. They've now reduced the Covid ICU down to 25 beds and they are not full.

People I've been chatting to seem to think that the lockdown was a bit much as they expected more people out and about and more to become ill because they didn't expect everyone to comply. Because the numbers are so low compared to worse case, they think they now want more people to be exposed so that the come the second wave in the Winter, the NHS can still cope
We only have 5 in intensive care on our covid ward. We had wards created for it that have never been used, theaters converted, that now seems for nothing.
The huge numbers they expected never happend, which is amazing.

There are 30 covid patients at our local hospital. Last week it was 70. No deaths for 5 days. Hope this good news keeps coming.

We have had no deaths at our hospital for a few days too, fingers crossed it stays that way 🤞

As it would be for longer than a few days then it would be classed as moving house. This is allowed during lockdown.
I think you need to do what is best for you. You wouldn't be breaking any lockdown rules.
I agree. I'd you and husband can work from home and your kiss are too young for school - I say do it.

Essentially you'll be moving house. But you can't move back to yours and that back again to theirs I'd you find it difficult living with them for example.

I consider ed asking my mum to move in with us as my daughter misses her so much as she usually helps with childcare. She's a key worker so probably don't want to risk her to bring any germs home to us. Otherwise we would!

I’m confused, is the guidance (in England) that you’re allowed to meet one other person provided you’re outside and two metres apart?

Tried to edit and deleted my first response by mistake .

Does anybody know if we pay vat on the self employed grants ? Which vat code do we use if so ??
You pay tax on it, as it will be classed as personal income. I don’t meet the VAT threshold so they m not registered, but I’m pretty sure it’s not anything to do with VAT.

Yes, but only in public places. Not gardens or drives apparently 🤣 🤷🏻‍♀️

Does anyone else work in childcare? I’m currently listening in on a webinar and the woman has said on a couple of Occasions that if you refuse to go back to work HR has advised to start the disciplinary process! If your vulnerable it’s a different case scenario, I have told my work I don’t want to come back just yet as I don’t feel it’s safe enough and my mum is extremely vulnerable and shielding so after hearing that I feel anxious! My boss is calling me in the week to have a chat about a questionnaire she sent us but I’m worried now after hearing this information! I just don’t understand how they could potentially discipline people or take jobs away when people are scared of this or how they’d get new staff in?!
are you furloughed or are you wanting to take unpaid leave? From a business perspective i suppose they dont have much choice if they need staff in for the ratios they either have to get the current staff back in or hire new ones. Especially with childcare settings having to re open in June they cant do so without the right amount of staff. They should try to work with you to find a compromise though. Hopefully when you get the call from management they will be able to help further 🤞🏼 Try not to worry, im sure most employers will try to work with not against their staff.

I guess it’s very difficult for employers, they should be furloughing you but I guess legally if it’s safe for you to work and there is the hours then they can make you. If you personally are not shielding I think they can put you on SSP or take action as breach of contract.

Yes I knew it was to be recorded for tax and national insurance I just can't find anything relating to how to account for it for vat . We use QuickBooks so I have to put a vat code to accept it 😬 thank you though.

Sorry if this has been asked but do babies / toddlers count as people?! As in can myself and my 3 year old meet my friend and her one year old (social distancing obv) both our husbands are still at work so it’s not like we have childcare... and surely us mums can exercise and see some one too?

@Keiffers pipe i could be missing something. But I can’t see how it’s anything to do with VAT. It should have been paid into your personal bank account and be classed as drawings/earnings.

VAT wasn’t part of the payment so there is none to claim or pay. How are you inputting it on quickbooks? As a supplier payment?

If you have no child care you can take them, obviously they must also observe social distancing.

Thank God for Tattle, I need cheering up tonight.

I just had the most stupid “argument” with my boyfriend. I was watching a silly, trashy Channel 4 show called Sex Tape. On there, couples who aren’t having as much sex as they were in the beginning film themselves having sex and therapists watch the footage with them and help them to see if they can “get their spark back”. Anyway, whilst I was watching this, my boyfriend was on his laptop gaming. I turned to him and commented that I felt the people on this show had unrealistic expectations. I cited that the human sex drive diminishes each time you have sex with the same partner and that it’s natural that the frequency of sex decreases in line with that, but that relationships are more about stability, trust, comfort etc. Then I said the people on the show needed to realise that there was a balance to be had (because they all wanted earth shattering sex 5 times a week). My boyfriend then started to rant at me because “if I want more sex, then I know where the door is” and that I need to “find someone my own age if I want that” because “men his age aren’t messed up by all the porn millennials have seen”. He is twice my age and we have been together for almost 3.5 years. I think he completely misunderstood what I was saying and is now sulking. I’m finding solace on Tattle in a separate room!

I am shielding but went to the office today as nobody else was there. I had personal belongings I needed to pick up and things to collect for when we start to work from home, as we are currently furloughed. It’s still quiet up here on the roads, I live in Worcestershire. The M5 and M6 usually have three busy lanes and today was just one lane full, with the odd car in the middle lane. That was in both directions. It makes you see the effect on the economy. This is the first time I have been on a motorway since the middle of March and I did expect it to be busier than that!

I haven't put accepted it in to the quick books yet. But I was going to just use the other income category that is already there, this means it will show up as taxable income on our annual profit / loss account. But you need to put a vat code in 🤬 so would you think use the outside the scope of vat code 🤔

I had to piss about and make a new gateway account to even apply for it as it wouldn't accept our existing government gateway account as it was for a business 🙄
