Yes, he seems extremely laid back with his parenting I think, too a laid back. Indie should be allowed some snacks.i just find him so condescending. how can someone bring out a weaning book when they’ve only just started to wean their first childhe puts videos of his daughter in the bath on Instagram to millions of people, doesn’t let her eat snacks, films her screaming when she’s hungry but doesn’t like what he’s cooked for her, has a v weird relationship with good where he must work out before he eats any type of carb... its a huge no from me
I think they’re depending on people self-isolating which isn’t greatAre they isolating the travellers they are bringing back to the UK or not?
Bobbie from Towie came back from tenerife last week and went for a wonder round the shops and no quarantine.
Omg so did II'm a legal secretary in a small high street firm. I am still being asked to come to work. The solicitor says it's because we offer a Will service so we're classed as essential. I've not been able to find anything to back this up, however have taken his word. Yesterday, a large firm in our area (in the same street as us) announced that they were closing all branches and only asking the fee earning staff to continue working. Admin staff would be furloughed. (I have spoken to one of the admin workers from the office who have confirmed this). I'm just wondering what everyone elses opinion on my situation is? As an admin worker, I don't feel that my work is essential - the solicitors should really know how to do the most important parts of our job (such as typing Wills) as minimum in my opinion. We are a small office, I am the only full time member of the admin team, 1 full time solicitor and the three other part timers all have children so have been unable to come in. I've been rushed off my feet doing 4 people's jobs. I'm worried that if I don't catch corona, I'm going to make myself seriously ill anyway because of the pressure and stress (I have anxiety and IBS - not a good mix at the best of times!).
I just feel that this is a case of the owners of the firm worrying more about getting as money as possible rather than keeping staff healthy. They've made no provision for extra cleaning etc, I had to go out myself and buy cleaning stuff from the petty cash off my own back, I was not instructed to do so. I just feel that they're not taking this seriously at all!
Please, don't be afraid to tell me if you think I'm being over dramatic!
I totally read that first line as "it was full of people DOGGING"
I really hope you start to feel better soon x
I started this thinking I'd read all those books I've been meaning to read, work out everyday ...Day 18 - I haven't even got a book off the shelf yet, I spend a lot of time thinking about working out (but haven't yet) and meal times seem to be 2pm ish and 10pm ish with lots of snacks. So was talking to a friend on the phone about lockdown expection vs reality anyone else feeling like this?
At the start of lock down I was like I need to be positive and think of productive things I can do in the house. I thought "I will make myself a timetable like what mums and dads are doing for their kids. I will make sure I have a good sleeping and eating routine. I'm going to practise my cooking skills, learn more sign language, do at home workouts, write poetry and a journal during this time. I will stay in touch with people as much as possible so I don't feel alone. I will apply for college starting in September and hope lock down is over by then"
One week later - I'm laying in bed all day, scrolling through Facebook, Instagram and Tattle. I am roughly having a five minute panic every hour.Trying to stay positive yet thinking I won't be here in two weeks and I need to message everyone goodbye it's been nice knowing ya. My biggest accomplishment's during this time is probably every laugh reaction ive had on here. I spend hours debating in my head if it's safe to order chips and cheese driving myself mad. I think my legs are gonna seize up from not moving from my bed. Was so annoyed with myself tonight because I went to tesco for the first time in a week for an unnecessary but felt necessary snack of Jaffa Cakes worrying about who touched the box before me thinking shit what if I die because I caught corona on my trip to the shops all for some fucking Jaffa Cakes. Although 10/10 they were gid. I feel like I'm back on day 0 since I've left the house now and even more convinced that I caught it on my trip out and have two weeks to live.
My boss had been waiting for our IT firm to do it but them sorted it himself as they told us it would take a while. We are a really small firm. We used a website called gotomypc to set up from home. I have no idea how it works but my boss was able to set it up himself. You should take a look.See this is the sort of thing I was hoping for my firm to do! They've told us that we don't have the IT infrastructure to work from home, and the firm who deal with our IT are unable to set it up at this time! It's so concerning.
There were 40 deaths at home from the virus this is England and Wales only and up until March 20thThe official death figures are so meaningless. They only count those in hospital that have been testes. People dying at home, care homes, hospices aren't included and will take weeks before an autopsy (if at all). So we don't know if are figures are lower than Italy.
I've already asked the partners in the firm - they've said we don't have the IT infrastructure to get this arranged. They can't see how it would work with us working on hundreds of paper files - not possible to share files out apparently. I just don't know, to me it seems like poor managementSurely you can do your job from home?
I think I'm going to have to look into this myself, and then fire it over to him in an email and just explain my concerns and that I really would feel safer from home. It's times like this when bosses should be supporting workers, but I feel like my health and wellbeing is bottom of their list of concerns. My boss had been waiting for our IT firm to do it but them sorted it himself as they told us it would take a while. We are a really small firm. We used a website called gotomypc to set up from home. I have no idea how it works but my boss was able to set it up himself. You should take a look.
It is odd isn’t it, why not just have a 3 per item limit? I have over a hundred items on my asda shop! Only one item I’ve ordered the maximum of 3 of. Family of 4. The idea is that it will hopefully mean we don’t have to go out or order another shop for at least 2 weeks, plus with the kids being home literally 24/7 we need more than usual. Also my cupboards will basically be bear as I’ve been trying to use what we have so things need restocking. That Tesco shop thing is odd. Itll just mean people need to get out to the shops more to pick up the extras they couldn't get. Yeah 80 items is plenty for some families but there is 6 in my house and it wouldn't work. Not sure their thinking behind it?!
Things are definitely not calming down, we haven't hit the peak yet never mind got to a point when normal life can return. As i told you a while ago my husband was sent home on full pay for 12 weeks because he's type 2 diabetic ,he's had a text from work today saying he can go back tomorrow as long as he signs a form to say it his wish ......... So IMO things must be calming down as when he rang a couple days after they laid him off he was told ,no sorry its government guidelines
He's an absolute tool. Cannot stand him.Haha this made me laugh, intrigued to know why you think Joe is a prick though
That they are certain of. There's a wait of at least three weeks to have an autopsy so the ONS figures will be revised up hugely. There were 40 deaths at home from the virus this is England and Wales only and up until March 20th
Yup, mine has returned with a vengeanceI think there will be a lot of people that will be diagnosed with OCD after this.
My friend‘s daughter was diagnosed years ago and she’s gone into complete meltdown over it. Prior to this it was pretty much under control but now all her rituals are back.
are the figures from italy and spain including deaths outside of hospitals? If not i would hate to see what it looks like with those includedThe official death figures are so meaningless. They only count those in hospital that have been testes. People dying at home, care homes, hospices aren't included and will take weeks before an autopsy (if at all). So we don't know if are figures are lower than Italy.
Things are slowing ,but nowhere near a peak yet..Things are definitely not calming down, we haven't hit the peak yet never mind got to a point when normal life can return.
I got this in an email from a private clinic a week ago.The parts in the testing kits the government have ordered have been found to be contaminated by...traces of Covid-19.
This doesn't look too good for testing patients and NHS staff...maybe they can borrow some from Ocado, who are testing their own workers.
I think celebrities get tested for insurance reasons too, £375 for a basic test is small change to Tom Hanks and Idris Elba.
How much would you pay for a private test?
