i had one phone call from them! And regular texts congratulating me on isolatingDo track and trace still call to check up on people who test positive? I know someone who tested positive and is still dropping their kids off at school and stuff. I thought you get calls to check you are isolating?
Make it make senseCDC already have said covid positive doctors can work if they’re asymptomatic, but those pesky unvaxxed can’t.
Yeah, just awkward if they call and you can’t answer because you’re out. I suppose you could just say you were asleep or something?I don’t know but if they did call the person would just lie I should imagine. They aren’t going to admit to breaking the law if they can’t do the right thing in the first place are they?
This is the UK right now. 10 years of Tory rule, a government who appeared to be at war with disabled people and Brexit has caused general arrogance and a f you attitude towards other people. I don’t think we’re all like this but a lot of people are.I’m not sure if this the right thread for this. However, I started back at uni today (where I’m studying to become a primary school teacher) and the behaviour around Covid restrictions from some of my peers shocked me. I know there’s always going to be deniers etc but these were people my age who were basically ignoring simple rules, like wearing a mask in a seminar because they don’t want to. They were even discussing buying sunflower lanyards off eBay to pretend they’re exempt. I really wanted to speak up, however this was the first day of a new module in a new group of people who I’m going to have to do a group assignment with, so didn’t want to start off with them thinking I’m a goody-two-shoes or something. It does worry me how these people are starting placements in schools tomorrow and could potentially be teaching future generations in a few years. The wanting to buy fake lanyards does make me feel sick though, people have been talking for months now about their actual use and how it’s just being diminished now. Some people will really do anything to avoid following simple rules out in place to keep and others safe.
The question should be why are these idiots in power in the first place? If the gov can break the rules why can’t the rest of us
There’s no opposition though, starmer is handed a plate to make a coup and he can’t even manage thatBecause of the idiots that keep voting them in, I’d imagine.
Whatever happened to the monster raving loony partyThere’s no opposition though, starmer is handed a plate to make a coup and he can’t even manage that

Yeah, apparently the man doesn’t know what socialism is any moreThere’s no opposition though, starmer is handed a plate to make a coup and he can’t even manage that
I certainly won’t but others will because for some reason they can’t understand that it’s a bad idea to have a Tory government if you rely on state schools, the NHS or any other public service. This lot have gone from bad to worse. I feel as though I’d even prefer to see David Cameron as pm again.Following a conversation I had earlier today, a question:
After the complete and utter shitshow we've witnessed over the past two years, will people still vote Tory in future?
My feeling is yes, because what other alternative is there?
I’m having thoughts along the lines of, come back Jeremy Corbyn, all is forgiven.Yeah, apparently the man doesn’t know what socialism is any morewhich is a sure sign he’s an ineffectual joke.
Omg even I’m not that badI’m having thoughts along the lines of, come back Jeremy Corbyn, all is forgiven.

Seems a bit strange to be saying about the lanyards after two years of this.I’m not sure if this the right thread for this. The wanting to buy fake lanyards does make me feel sick though. The people who actually need them have been talking for months now about their actual use and how it’s just being diminished now. They were talking about it as if they were talking about where to buy clothes or something. Some people will really do anything to avoid following simple rules out in place to keep them and others safe and it is disgusting.
It’s a good job we’re in clear can’t blame us for the messWe can’t vote for him anyway. Lol
