Had booster. First 2 were AZ this one was Pfizer
Same. Queues were nuts though, 50 mins wait and that was for a booked appointment.
People in the just-turn-up queue had been there for several hours already and the ones at the front were starting to look borderline feral but our queue moved on before I got eaten.

I'm assuming someone caged them or provided sandwiches as I didn't hear any trouble though I was only in the vicinity for half an hour or so after that (15 minutes to see if I fell over, plus a fly-by raid of the M&S mince pie department downstairs before I went home).

Utter chaos at the hospital booster jab. No separate queues for walk ins or staff. Having a booked appointment means you are penalised.

My other half works in hospitality and they're shutting pubs in the district as people are getting pinged and testing positive so can't safely keep them open. Noises of lockdown aren't helping as NYE is another big event and do they plan for that or not? Hes part of a chain and I really feel for him and his colleagues but more so for independent places. Places will suffer hugely if they order in for NYE and then get told to close. And still if people can't go due to isolation etc.
And thats just one industry and it'll have a domino effect on others (ie taxi industry for example, no people going out no need for taxis).

Going out mad Friday so will be interesting to see if that's busy. I actually thought hospitality would be shut by now. I guess they must have money invested somewhere to be leaving it alone.

Presumably whilst making gestures and farting in our general direction...

I suspect they've been waiting for an excuse to do this ever since they offloaded that William the Conker bloke on us.
Then his spoiled grandkids spent 20 years fighting amongst themselves splitting England into two just to decide who would wear the crown.

Has anyone had a reaction to the booster jab?
Both of my parents, who are fit and well generally, had chest pains, chills, headaches and numb arms
It really scared them (and me).
I’m unvaccinated and I’m becoming ever more convinced I have made the right decision.

I was booked for 10.10 but walked straight in at 9.50. It was dead

I’ve booked an 8am appointment to hopefully avoid any queues but in the meantime I will be carrying on and living my life as normal. I don’t see any point in thinking ‘what if we go back into another lockdown’ because if it does happen then so be it. May aswell enjoy a meal out when we can.

My parents are going to the o2 on Sunday to see a concert and my mum was like should we go, and I told her you can't keep putting your life on hold, you've been vaccinated, you got your booster, you do LFT's twice a week due to your job and you will wear a mask, plus have PCR's once a month as part of some government research trial. You can't sit in your home and be scared forever. So she is going now, I told her to have a good time and not worry.

The golden bullet Oxford vaccine….

0.000% protection against the
omni…macaroons 🙄 variant.
Basically, you’ve been sold a donkey.

according to sky news this scary new variety pack leaves patients with, “milder ‘head cold’ like symptoms”
Anyone wondering if it’s a bleeping winter cold. Omni-bleeping normal winter cold??

The thought of lockdowns, more restrictions etc etc gives me so much anxiety and it’s hard hearing all these people who are basically self imposing a lockdown and going nowhere. Makes you feel guilty for not being that way but I just don’t want to anymore.

I just don’t see the way out of this if this is how we react to every new variant but while we’re testing everyone I don’t see how this ends. Surely we need to reach a point where you don’t need to be tested unless seriously ill & other people can go about their lives. Or am I selfish in thinking that?

I am so, so fed up. Didn’t think we’d be in this position again. A few months ago I was hopeful that by the end of next year things would be more or less totally normal, now I don’t see how we will be.

I’m also due my booster 5 days after my c section. I’m not against getting it but no chance at that point and although I was fine with my first 2 vaccines I’m not keen to get it too soon after and be ill with a 2 year old and baby at home.

Another bleeping lockdown, my god. When will it end. Another variant will come about in a couple months time, then we'll be back to the same situation again. It's so frustrating.

Its getting so tiring listening to people be so critical over socialising now the drama is all kicking off again. If you don't want to socialise that is fine, but its your decision - don't try and guilt others because they aren't doing the same as you.

This!!!! If you’re worried fine cut back and restrict your socialisation. If you’re not worried about what so far appears to be a cold then carry on doing as you bloody well please. We are NOT in lockdown so make the most of actually being able to do things before they inevitably do try to enforce a lockdown in the new year!!!!!!!!

Me and a few school mum friends are meeting for lunch and some fizz tomorrow and it’s the only Xmas meet up il get due to work cancelling ours and we’ve had a few comments about whether we should or not. Most of us are still pressing on with it - we’ll do a lft before plus our kids have been mixing all term in class so I’m not going to be guilted out of it.

Parents were both fine, maybe a sore arm but nothing else to write home about.

Boss at work has been off sick the past 2 days since getting them but she can milk anything for some sick pay.

Dead arm overnight for my housemate.
