I’ve had covid (less than 3 months after second jab) Was fine apart from taste/smell going.
Hubbie unvaccinated and had the bad headache for 3 days but fine now.
Cant get the booster yet but I don’t think I’ll bother.

Timeline of our household positive cases:
Child 1 (10yrs) positive 8Nov
Child 2 positive (6yrs) 21Nov
Me and partner (35) positive 24 Nov

Glad we’ve all had it now tbh.

Thanks to this whole booster rush I had my 6 week postnatal check cancelled. (I stressed how important it was that I need to speak to someone due to having postnatal psychosis last time but nope. There is no support this time I’ve found) They did do babies partly , but not to the full extent they should have as they had to rush her appointment. Also can’t get her booked in for her vaccinations due in 2 weeks time. Told to call back in January 😬
I know there’s people way worse off who will need to see their gp, and I’m so worried for them. There’s gonna be many deaths on the governments hands and they won’t be from Covid.
I’m so sorry to hear that, bleeping horrific. I had to do my daughters two year check over the phone, which wasn’t a massive deal for me as I had no concerns but it made me think today of poor kids like wee Arthur and Star who are being let down-very easy to hide any issues with a phone call and that breaks my heart.

I hope you are able to get some support and I’m sorry you are being let down.

That's just collateral damage. It's ONLY covid deaths that matter.
Yes,covid is the only illness of importance. Cancer? Suicidal thoughts? Nah,you can duck off. Absolutely sick of this tit now,I had dipped out of the news long ago because it was stressing me out but then I thought I needed to put my big girl pants on and keep myself informed but my anxiety is through the roof now.

my daughter is meant to start nursery in January and it’s such an insignificant thing in the grand scheme of things but I’m so upset at the thought of schools being locked down-the kids have been through enough ffs. The long term effects on them from being cooped up and not socialised is so sad to think about.

I've seen some disgusting messages on SM from vaccinated stating that unvaccinated shouldn't even be entitled to NHS treatment.....
Yet I bet half of these people have never contributed to the national insurance system in their lives.

Aaah man :( it's breaking my heart reading all of these messages, so many people feeling low, anxiety rising etc. Try to take one day at a time, as trying to see past the end of this week is nigh on impossible. There's always someone around on Tattle, even during the wee small hours, so if you feel down, just come on here and have a chat/let it out/have a rant/cry, whatever it is you need to do. We are all going through this together, regardless of our differing views. No ones worries are any less than someone else's - if you feel tit, you feel tit xx

I’m so worried about getting covid, it seems as if everyone has it at the moment with the positive test results being so high

It just feels the same as last year, winter is depressing enough without having this on top of it

I’m going to winter wonderland with my boyfriend tomorrow and I’m so nervous about being around people, I wish I didn’t have health anxiety

Go have fun and try not to worry. It's around, it will always be around, and that's just life. Winter Wonderland sounds like such fun!

Please, please don't worry. A positive result does not automatically mean a very sick person.

Go out, enjoy a beautiful day with your man. Eat all the food, go on all the rides, drink all the drinks, be in the company of fellow humans and LIVE.

Interested to know, are you going to get your "booster" (third, fourth, fifth ad infinitum jab.....)?

Obviously, none of my business so need to answer if you don't want to, just curious xx
I've had my first booster (had to or bye bye job) sigh.

Easy for a borebag like Professor Doom to go without a social life as I doubt he has one anyway.
Saw his face crop up on an advert earlier.....again

duck, no way! That's disgraceful, I'm sorry ☹

Do you work in healthcare? Again, none of my (or your employer's) business and I definitely do not support mandating health workers being forced to be vaccinated.

Social care so we were mandatory end of November. I had colleagues having to get speed vaccines to keep their jobs 🙄

Just to add my experience having recently had covid, I would put the symptoms severity as lying between a nasty cold and flu, no way as bad flu (only had it once, it was horrendous) but not a walk in the park by any means. I didn’t have the headache but just felt hot, out of sorts, intermittent cough, out of breath doing anything other than lying in bed and absolutely knackered. Sense of taste and smell disappeared overnight on day 5, I’ve been out of isolation 5 days and taste is back but still can’t smell. Also bloody knackered! I caught it from my preschool aged child. The older children (primary and secondary aged) and husband escaped it. Interestingly, my 10 year old had an awful cough and temperature days before we got ill, negative PCRs but I’d say he was more ill and for longer than either of us covid sufferers.

I’m doubled jabbed.

Absolutely this. It’s horrible that people feel the need to preface their complaints/concerns with ‘I know others have it worse but…’ (I’m guilty of it myself). You don’t have to have lost a loved one/job etc to be feeling tit or anxious or down about the whole thing. I’ve been relatively unaffected by covid(actually increased my time at home with the kids after maternity leave so I was at an advantage) but my nerves are still wrecked on behalf of my kids and what they are going to live through.

Here's a question, can you be asked if you're vaccinated? Say in an Opticians??
I wouldn’t imagine so as it’s not relevant to an eye test.

I’ve had private dental work done throughout the pandemic and appointments at the opticians too and never been asked vaccine status for covid or anything else.

Do you wonder though if there will come a time when dentists/opticians etc can say no to treating unvaccinated?
