I think the old, old storyline with Audrey was that she was a really mean mum to Gail and somewhat of an absent parent due to having her really young and wanting to party rather than raise her two kids. You’ve gotta be pretty mean to name your kid Gail? One of them got sent to Canada for heck knows why and Gail left home and lived with Elsie Tanner...I think. I have to confess that I have recently started watching Corrie again. The court scenes were really well acted, especially Shelly King and Paula Wilcox. However I think they made a mistake to run two really heavy stoylines together in the same episodes - Oliver's funeral. In fact I felt the funeral scenes, almost ruined the episodes. I also felt that the episodes were badly edited.
