Just me or is Daniel just completely devoid of emotion and expression? It annoys me so much. Hope Daisy and Ryan get together

Best episodes of Corrie in a very very long time. The scenes of the aftermath in the shower etc with the slightly blurred, slightly muffled effects were very well done. Compared to for instance the market bombing/ van crash with Alya. Just shows you what difference good direction and half decent actors make !

P.S. Alya is a woeful actress

Omg, I've had to wait until just now to watch it down here. Such a powerful episode. 10/10 Corrie writers, you got it right this time, and the actors, wow, you had me on the edge of my seat.👏👏

Corrie can get it right when they want to. Thats two well acted and written storylines in a week. Must be a record for them 😂 Shame it can’t be like that all the time.

So if abi didn’t just happen to wander in, daisy was just going to be left to sit hyperventilating on her own in the corridor? Where was her medical attention? The shower scene was really well done but that bit just ruined it for me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Last nights episode was written by none other than the legend that was Hayley Croppers (RIP Harold) real life husband.

Thought I’d take a look at the DS forums… wow they really didn’t like last nights ep 😂😂😂

I caught up (something I NEVER do) and WOW! That was powerful. I even had tears from Ryan’s screams. They were harrowing. The actor who plays Justin plays it so well.

I think what their moaning about, which I kind of agree about, is that there has been a lot of miserable storylines over the last few months, a lot back to back with a minimal amount of lighter storylines to balance them out where it seems the exec producers are ticking off a list of hard hitting crimes to prove how gritty they are: -

Bombs
Far right grooming
Stabbing
Murders
Drugs running
Drinks spiking (by Max & Stephen)
Consent
Acid attack
The upcoming Paul storyline

It’s like misery porn. No matter how good yesterday’s episode was, they could at least pace out these storylines better where they don’t seem to be on a continuous loop

I thought last nights episode was very good and its the first time in a long, long time that I have been gripped watching it. I thought Daisy & Ryan played their parts brilliantly, well done to them. I hope the writers don't spoil this storyline now by making the aftermath a bit rubbish.

Daniel was shite in y opinion. Just serious lack of emotion on his part and very wooden considering what's just happened whereas Jenny played her role really well and I quite like her now, for ages I couldn't stand her.

I know Kym Marsh is probably busy and might not even want to come back to corrie but I always think when they do some hard hitting storylines and the relatives don't come back, its a bit odd. Surely your mum would come to be by your side if you have got attacked with acid? I know its a soap though and sometimes these things just aren't doable because of peoples commitments outside the soap. I just think it would be a nice touch.

Justin played his role really well, he was genuinely believable whereas if you had Stephen who is actually a murderer come at you, you would just laugh and deck him one - never seen a worse actor than Stephen - its much more enjoyable without him floating around which btw I was surprised to not see last night, normally he's walking around that street like he has nothing else to be at 😂

Also the storyline with Evelyn and her dog was very well done too, so sad to watch but it just shows you with decent actors & writers what can be done.

I don’t get people moaning about depressing storylines, like this is real life, bad tit happens to people every day. Watch FRIENDS if you want a break from reality !

They don't like anything.

I agree with what @Cupid_Stunt said. There have been a lot of heavy duty storylines all running more or less concurrently. There does need to be a bit of a break because most of them have been handled terribly. We're going straight into another one now with Paul.

Cerberus and Daisy have been the best storylines by far.

I personally think they need Brian and Mary to get together and more Glenda trying to get a singing gig 😁

Wow this is the reason I sit through all the boring rubbish episodes because once in a while you get an episode like this well done to the actors and writers I was totally gripped and that hasn't happened for a while. I'm not ashamed to admit I actually cried through those scenes with Ryan. 😪

I don't even think its the fact the storylines are depressing for me but more the fact they just aren't done very well that maybe has people complaining. It's all very well putting out a hard hitting story but if it isn't done well, it's just not going to appeal to people. Like last nights storyline was a dark one but I was gripped to my seat and genuinely enjoyed it. I can't remember when a Corrie episode last gripped me like that. I'd actually say as far back as Aidan's suicide :( A storyline that was done so well.

Loved that last night when she tried to get up and sing at the ceremony and Adam was basically giving her side eye and saying no its ok 😂

The most harrowing was Ryan’s screams chilled me to the bone definitely a difficult watch.
It will be interesting to see how they handle the aftermath

I’ve always said how odd it is that relatives never show up at traumatic times for characters.
I mean what mother wouldn’t move heaven and earth to get to her son when he’d been burned in an acid attack?
so unrealistic when they don’t make an appearance.
Correct about Justin too, he really was creepy & sinister, he should give Stephen some lessons in the art.
