Hello Tattlers, I’m having the best day.

My husband and I are looking at mini breaks to somewhere abroad for a Christmas market this year and hopefully going to book something tonight 😁🎄🎅🏼

What a time to be alive.

Also, just reading about a Tattler’s advent calendar to themselves (fantastic idea btw) and some people mentioned the books and tea box, I’ve recently discovered “Blind Date with a book”, loads of sellers on Etsy and they basically pick you a book, wrap it up along with some little treats and it’s like a present to yourself!!

I especially like the sellers who check that it’s not a book you already have (by sharing your Goodreads account or something similar)

I got the Aldi lacura beauty advent calendar last year - does anyone know if it’s something that’s been out other years/is expected to be out this year? It was fab last year

Budapest is supposed to be fantastic.

I've got all the presents for this year (basically for a few close friends and 2 relatives) so it won't hit hard financially.

Trouble is, where do I spend it? Got tied into dying parent last few years, now it's time for myself but I don't live near to anyone. I mean I have a few friends nearby but they're relatively new ones. I'm sure I'll find something nice though :)

Are your friends on their own? Even if yous met up for a lunch or dinner on the day would be nice, or be the hostess and invite them over. Gives you an excuse to go to M&S 🤣

I was planning to make Rum and Raisin ice cream this morning (recipe from recipetineats) but accidentally picked up the Christmas cake brandy and soaked the raisins in it instead of rum 🤦‍♀️🤣

I added about quarter a tsp of mixed spice and a pinch of nutmeg and it’s now Christmas ice cream! Apparently it’s better than rum and raisin!

The prices for flights at decent times/airports we wanted made it so expensive which is what we were trying to avoid! So we’ve decided to go to London for the night and go to a Christmas market there and then our own festive pub crawl and just enjoy some time just us two while the dogs go on a holiday of their own 🥰🎄

I’m probably well behind here but I’m now going to put some spending money away each month for the trips away we’ve got this year, they’re only small weekend breaks in the UK but I genuinely think I prefer them, there is so much to see in the UK plus I am scared of flying 😂 I’d still fly as I never want to let it stop me doing anything but I’m not complaining that we can get a train instead lol 🎄

Hello everyone! Having a bit of a Christmas Day today, bought two more presents. I’m going to go through my Christmas cupboard today and see everything I’ve got as well so far. I keep seeing a lot more Christmas videos and present buying videos on my TikTok so thinking that it’s in the air ❄ ⛄ very exciting!

I can already see the autumnal candles coming in the shops too!

I had some gorgeous ice cream when I was out at a meal yesterday.
I'm determined to find some of it for Christmas or interrogate the maker until he coughs up the recipe...........

I know we're a bunch of biscuit lovers and felt this needed to be highlighted. Yes, they're expensive, incredibly so, but absolutely no palm oil or large and the best before date on mine is in May '27.

They were a gift for me and I no longer work for them, honestly, but if they survive a period attack, they'll be perfect for the festive season. Yes, I live alone and won't be sharing. What's your point?

Absolutely love the tin as well! Considering they’re F&M I don’t think they’re so expensive! It’s about £20 for a tin of biscuits at M&S these days!

I am so blooming excited for Christmas! It will be my first Christmas as a Mrs - we get married after the summer and have a safari to Kenya planned. Our eldest daughter is almost 3 and she talks about Father Christmas ALL of the time, and also The Snowman. She woke up from her sleep the other day and said he had come to visit her, he held her hand and they flew high in the sky together 🥲. I think it’s going to be extra special this year as she’ll have an understanding of what’s happening and will be fab at opening her presents etc. Ahhh I tear up just thinking about November & December. Other than my partner and our girls, Christmas is what I live for!!!! This thread just makes my heart sing whenever there’s been new posts 💕💕💕 X
Last Christmas my eldest was 3 and it was magical! He doesn’t remember what presents he got but he remembers leaving cookies/milk/carrots out and Santa leaving footprints all round the living room 🤣🤣 Christmas is so much more magical with little ones ✨

That's what I was thinking. M&S, your standard high street luxury, aren't even in the same league and I do wish I knew who made these ones but the tin is huge! Layers of biscuits as well. It's a beautiful bit of kit too. They've got a chocolate covered one but it's far too hot still to justify them.

Last night thanks to Best and Less here in Australia I have pre-ordered our 26 festive tees and matching pjs. Felt nice doing it last night cozy under a blanket with a red wine.
