Yeah, I like to bake hence my belonging to the Recipes and "go to" dishes thread.

I'm getting the feeling after reading everyone's suggestions that I can apart from putting in things, if I have drawers spare at the end, I could put in a little note telling me to do something beneficial for myself.

ETA. I forgot about the stocking that's another thing!!! Decisions, decisions!!!😁

Ooh! I'd love to do this if I could find another bookworm in the family.
Failing that I could make one up for myself as I already have a Christmas box.
I like to get Christmas prep out of the way before December so I can enjoy the month.
Unfortunately I have men to buy for in my family who I don't think are really bothered about presents, plus some of them are vegans which rules out a lot or they have a health condition no one tells me about until they've opened my present, which is the one thing they can't have!🙄
We all do it though, because of a female relative who wants us to do presents, and we don't want to upset her cos she's nice.

So all suggestions are gratefully received. I'm desperate!!!😬😁

I'm a bookaholic and naturally belong to the book thread. I have a sumptuous velvet throw from Homesense, lots of comfy cushions and biscuits which I never used to bother with before I made my own hob nobs.
Recipe is on the recipe thread. Caused quite a sensation so it's not just me who likes them!😋
But......it's always important to remind oneself, when one is racing around like a headless chicken in December to put your feet up. So yes, definitely a good idea.👍

@shivorny i have a couple of chocolate oranges coming in my shopping today. Not to keep for Christmas, just because they’re a bargain 🤣 and none of the smaller bars or mini bags taste like the actual orange ball.

Yes I was looking last year and did get some from Vinted. People know they go for a fortune now though. Charity shops are a good bet, people clearing out old people’s lofts etc. I can’t believe the vintage stuff we threw out from my grans not even that long ago.

I have used eBay before, my mom used to get some really nice decorations/ornaments out the Avon brochure. I found an exact ornament last year, still in good working order. It was lovely to receive it.

I got some lovely vintage looking Santa figurines from Shein. They were cheap and everyone commented on them. I’ll post a pic if I can find one. I love the old plastic santas and snowmen we used to pin on the walls 🎅🏻❤

My stepsister (but not really) is about 15 years older than me and has those original ceiling decorations from her mother, I think.

They're the ones I'm most interested in getting because a lot of my mum's old decorations from my childhood got chucked because of an upstairs neighbour's bath flooding ☹

I got some at a Christmas market stall, German ones. They are absolutely beautiful but very fragile

Ooh I love those older style decorations. My local poundstretcher had them in last year for some reason. Couldn’t find any anywhere else. My mum would cover the whole ceiling pretty much. I will get some this year if I remember/see some
