Currently listing unwanted or duplicate presents on Vinted. Feels ungrateful but normally I’d keep them for 6 months and then give to charity.
Must tell my mum that fleece pj’s and the menopause are not a good mix.
I’ll trade you three makeup sets for the fleece pjs.
I almost never wear makeup so you can imagine how thrilled I was to open them.
Three sets 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Can I throw in a bottle of green gin?
This year I think I’m going to say no presents as the clutter is driving me potty and I’m really starting to think about the environmental impact too. Unless it’s Bendicks Bittermints, can never have enough of those yet nobody ever buys me them

We're having belated Christmas day tomorrow - just me, OH, our baby and my mum - as we were struck down with illness for actual Christmas day. So the decorations are down but I'm resolutely keeping the wreath up until we're all done tomorrow. Looking forward to the lunch and exchanging presents! Although I may have eaten all the Christmas chocolate tubs 🫢

I realise I love the idea of Christmas until it springs up in November. So this thread in January is perfect. I've bought cheap PJ's for next year for the Xmas eve boxes

Family Christmas tomorrow! It’s the first chance we have all had to get together .
Decorations are still up, just the tree and few free standing ornaments.
Looking forward to lunch and board games

Hope you have a great day. What board games have you got to play?

Board games reminds me I bought 5 second rule which was great so thank you to the person who recommended that.

I also bought Sorry as one of the kids played it at breakfast club and asked for it and can honestly say it's the most boring game I have ever played 😒.

All my decorations are down but have yet to make it to the attic. I'm glad in a way cause I keep finding random bits around the house so now they can go into the boxes rather than hang around in the spare bedroom all year.

I bought the Aldi wrapping paper before Christmas as my huge stash from years ago was depleted. Have to say it's excellent quality and I went back for more, found it reduced so stocked up.

Also bought Christmas cards and have 1 gift bought plus part of another. My Mom saves all her gift bags for me and people didn't write on the ones we received so I have an abundance of those.

Scored a fab blazer and blouse in the M&S sale online but haven't had much luck elsewhere. Anyone get some bargains?

My tree is in the hallway, waiting to ge back in the loft. My kids were standing in between each half , spinning them around and pretending they were in the car wash .

The decorations have been down for about a week now, but we've only just got around to moving all the living room furniture back to where it lives for 11 months of the year 😅

After moving the sofa, we found 3 tubs of mini cheddars, twiglets & the cheese Christmas trees as well as a box of M&S "outrageously chocolatey" biscuits that I apparently hid behind the sofa for Christmas 🤔🤣🤣

The Christmas snacking recommences!

All the decorations are done and I’ve finally put them all away in their locations (we don’t have a loft) so most have to be tetris-ed underneath our bed with a few bits hidden at the back of my wardrobe. Just need Mr Rita to take down the outdoor lights when he gets back from work today! Still got loads of Xmas chocolates lying around which is a nice treat when I’m feeling sad 😂 Already looking forward to this year 🥰🥰🥰

The Queen used to leave her decorations up until candlemass which is about the 2nd of February, so the 12th night is epiphany but you can carry on with the seasonal lights etc.
Personally I think lights and wreaths are a celebration of the whole winter season, once February comes it's getting lighter and we can take them down, makes winter more bearable.

I’m taking down my tree and decs today 😥 doesn’t seem like they were up long but it’s been a good 5 weeks.
Any leftover Christmas goodies I will take to work on Monday so they can all get large instead of me 😂

I celebrate Christmas all the way through until Epiphany but this year I didn’t feel any of the magic and it all felt a big rush. I delayed getting festive and now I regret it and I had a very overwhelming Christmas. When do you start prepping and preparing?

Oh, I've found my people again. 🤩

I can buy presents any time of the year if I see something I know someone would appreciate.

I buy my cards and wrapping paper in the Dec/Jan sales. Got them already. Bake my cake in October. Write cards in November ready to post 1st December. Put decorations up 1st and 2nd December. It takes me two days - say no more. I "enjoy" the main prezzy shop on Black Friday, and wrap them early December.

The Xmas food is ordered in November for collection on 23rd Dec.

I just lurve Xmas, can you tell 😂

I was supposed to do this but ended up eating them instead with Mr CinnamonSwirl 😂

Everything is down and packed away 😔. The hoover cylinder is 50% glitter.

Does anyone else like to count their cards? We're way down on previous years, I blame school and their eco policy this year. I do like to be environmentally friendly...but then I do like cards too!.
