Bought my first Christmas related item today! An advent calendar for my brother, a Haribo one. Going to find a Lindor/Lindt chocolate one for my mum and I'll treat myself too a good ole €2 white chocolate one :D

My presents are all gift cards this year (although if I find a bread bin for my mum ha) as we're not a massively materialistic family. We've all got the tech bits, enough pyjamas and bits at our age.

I bought a Christmas tree wicker skirt yesterday so my tree is ready to be put up...Im quite tempted to put it up now but its too early.

Has anyone tried the new Walkers crisps sausage roll flavour? Im not keen taste a bit like the beef and onion ones.

Anyone else really struggling with gifting this year?

I'm so stuck on what to get my family for Xmas, most likely because I haven't been able to spend much time with them at all this year and am so unsure of what they'd like or need.... 🤔

I've asked my parents what they'd like and they tell me not to worry about gifts, but I just can't do that 🤣

After watching the three part documentary on Hotel Chocolat I bought some people presents from there. The mint chocolate liquor is gorgeous. Another drink - M&S gin with the gold sparkles is good. The Perfume Shop has great bargains, and garden centres have good ideas too.

Ours is red and gold poinsettia theme, done it for past two years and would like something new but can't justify spending money on it ATM

Well i think I'll be spending CD on my todd now that my g/f has tested positive, and my parents live thousands of miles away in South Africa. So will post presents to both in due course, but I guess its going to be a really quiet CD in my home :(

Why does your girlfriend testing positive now mean you won't be able to see her?

Our table is white with glass candle holders. It looks like it is a set for the White Company. I don’t change it and I collect new bits every year. It’s one of my favourite things about Christmas. Dressing the table.

I'd like to think she'll be in the clear in the next couple of weeks, and I'm self-isolating just in case. But I'd rather be a bit on the cautious side to the run to Christmas.

But fingers crossed we'll be pulling a cracker or two on CD

If she's not too ill at the moment I'm sure Christmas Day will be fine because it's still ages away regardless of how early people are putting decorations up. Hopefully you'll be able to be together for it and have a great day even if it's not what you'd originally planned.

Thoughts on the John Lewis advert?
I understand people’s disappointment that it isn’t really a tear jerker but I thought it was really lovely. After the year we have had the simple message of just being kind to everyone was nice. I liked the animation too.

Its ok my fav so far is the Mc donalds one.
