I can’t help that when I see some of your posts I think Rishi has actually written them. Had a little giggle at Rishi quietly contemplating a Percy Pigs advent calendar this year, pandemic paperwork pushed to one side while he focuses on this pressing issue 😄
Im sure Rishi would love a Percy Pig advent calender.

Picked up the M&S Christmas clementine gin (the light up snow globe one) for my sister in law today. Genuinely tempted to pick up another for myself, it looks lovely! 😍

I hate gin but I'm going to get 1 anyway.

M&S salted caramel brownie cream liqueur and pumpkin spice seasoning I need these. The m&s Christmas food mag is full of goodies and very dangerous.

Does the mini set light up as well?
Already got the Clementine one can’t stand gin but the bottle will look pretty on the table along with Christmas dinner.
Really wanted the elderflower one but couldn’t find it anywhere. Again no idea why I was fixated on that one.
Btw the M&S Christmas aisles were heaving people stocking up already.

Anyone fancy getting a different kind of tree this year?

how about A half tree,

Got to be a real tree for me. Love the excitement of getting it and the smell of it, hate the needles everywhere when we drag it out in January though

Well and truly ready! Like 90% of the presents done, just need some little bits.

Don’t judge me but we’re putting the decorations up on Sunday 😅

My husband for the first time since I met him 8 years ago is excited for Xmas!!! I think it has to do with having a baby now 👶

he has agreed to put the decs up next weekend I can’t believe it!

I’ve inherited some new garlands for the stairs and fireplace, so excited to put those up and we are having two trees this year 😃 so next weekend will be fun

my sister and I are planning an epic party food menu for Xmas eve, and I’ve got a Xmasfood cupboard going she is bringing things round as she buys them 😆

Also Prosecco is on offer in Asda So we’re all stocking up!

I’m going to prepare myself for a few hours in the shops next week to try and get a few things bought. I’ve not been to my local city for months (I used to go into work there twice a week!) and so I’m feeling excited about it.

I’m hoping if I go on my own I can have a good spree and get a few bits done.

The reality is I’ll probably be sweating like duck in a mask, it’ll rain and so my Primark paper bagged goodies will be spilling out all over the high street and I’ll be cursing anyone not keeping 2m from me.

Good times!

I’m pretty much done, have the kids presents sorted and a few family ones. Will start wrapping soon! Want everything sorted by end of Nov so I can enjoy the run up in December.

Looking like DH might be away for Christmas. Very, very grateful that we haven’t had to worry about work during this year when so many have but him not being here for Christmas is always rit. In which case, we’ll be putting up the decs tomorrow. Sod it all.

Might have a gin to get me through the day o_O

I was hoping to travel back to South Africa to see my parents and sister for Christmas & New Year. But given all the confusion and bother, there seems no point, and certainly not worth the risk or worry. (At least we have Skype to stay in touch)

As a consequence, I guess I will spend the holiday here at home with my partner (assuming we both stay covid-free), and just remain optimistic.

All the family’s presents are done! Made a start on Mr Sosig but will probably have that sorted by the end of next week so I can finish wrapping!

We’re now spending Christmas Day together as he’s my support bubble, he’s even joked about having two dinners because he wants to spend the morning and early afternoon with his parents while I sort everything 🤣 I’ve never ever cooked a Christmas dinner before and I am so excited, I love to cook so this will be a challenge for me!

I’ve started a Christmas box to put chocolates/biscuits/nuts away until a few days before. I’ve mentioned having my family round on Boxing Day but I won’t hold my breath because of ever changing restrictions and rules 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm planning Xmas on the assumption that my mum, sister and her fiance will be here as planned. Worst case, if it can only be me and my husband, the week before I will amend my tesco order and downsize quantity wise and half my preordered crown will go straight in the freezer!

I'm trying not to think about it too much as its the second Christmas without my dad and last year was such a blur as he died 19th October so Xmas was a haze of grief. So I am planning for a "normal" Christmas and if that can't happen I'll have to rethink!

As a relatively new member to Tattle, I shall certainly enjoy being here in a virtual sense over Christmas.

Feels far more friendly and amenable compared to my days over at Digital Spy - what a bunch of unfriendly "See You Next Tuesday's" some of those were!

might be an idea to set up a support/general chat thread in December for those who will be alone during the most wonderful time of year 😐
It’s such a hard one for so many.

Totally agree, I’ve been on many “gossip” type forums and sites and you’re right, tattle is a very different atmosphere, it’s been a great help to many this year I think 🙂
