Anyone doing a cheese board at xmas, if so which cheese are you having?
Cheddar, Tunworth, Baron Bigod, Oxford Blue and a soft cheese that I can’t remember are the committee-approved options, I’ll be sneaking on a manchego, Stilton and Brie too. I’m normally not fussed about cheese, but I hoover it up at Christmas.

I am not looking forward to Christmas this year.
I usually do a secret Santa with my family (I am one of 5, all apart from one have partners!). We usually meet and exchange gifts on Xmas eve but it’s very unlikely we will all be able to meet as one this year.
I don’t want to do secret Santa - I would rather just buy presents for my nieces and nephews- a zoom unwrapping of secret Santa presents would make me feel worse (husband agrees with me). And without intending to sound cheesy, if we are able to all meet- I will be so happy that I don’t care about presents.
Would rather skip to Christmas 2021!

Last year I did a huge cheeseboard as a present for my sisters bday and invited her round the weekend before Xmas... it was a DREAM we were both in heaven and couldn’t move after 😂 I just bought pretty much every cheese Asda has on offer. No way am I not repeating this year!

Mine is exactly the same. I brought mine a very expensive brand of candle one year, I got ‘this smells too strong, I can’t have this with my nose’ & then she gave it away to a social group Christmas raffle the following year- a social group she doesn’t go to but someone she knows does. I’ve brought her perfume like you have yours, she told me she’ll never use it, apparently she ‘doesn’t go anywhere’.
My sister in law gave her a very expansive mug and was told ‘you don’t give someone a mug for Christmas, it’s an insult after all I’ve done for you’.
Her sister gave her £100 of restaurant vouchers - could be used at various different types of restaurants/brands. She never used one of them, instead went through every place on the list, writing down why she hates them all.
I have no idea what to buy her this year, to be honest I don’t care anymore if she likes it. If I like it and think it’s a nice gift that’s enough for me. I’d never please her if I had all the money and time in the world.
Right now I’m getting it in the neck because we don’t know what the Covid rules will be at Christmas.
Would she find fault with a Xmas hamper?

Been there done that lol. We actually did this last year for her, getting what we thought were her favourite foods. Turns out none of them were because she ‘didn’t get to choose’.
She’d find fault if I have her £1million, just one of those people sadly.

I have quite a subtle christmas grey and white set but was tempted to buy a second set that was a bit more loud 😂

Love the McDonalds Christmas Ad!

I have a sister who sounds the same as these mother in laws ( Luckily I dont have one of them anymore due to separation!) but any gift you give her she looks unimpressed with . This year I have made her a hamper with bubble bath , bath bomb ,face and hair mask, candle and about 10 other things and sent a message to our family group chat saying really sorry but have a tight budget this year so everyone has token gifts ,if you prefer not to receive it let me know !

I'm almost done with the kids ,just need to order 2 more things but not until December as no where to put hide them !!

I've started adding things to my tesco shop for christmas hopefully I can get a slot around the 21st . I changed my bank card and forgot to update my details so missed the christmas slots !

I think general release (i.e. People without delivery saver) of the Xmas slots is Friday coming. I was lucky enough to get on Friday just gone

What’s everyone’s favourite Christmas tradition?🤩
My family always eat Christmas dinner, clear away the table then play some kind of game whilst we let dinner go down before pudding. It always always ends in tears of laughter. Such a small part of the day but it’s all of our favourite!

I always enjoy the days around Christmas more so than the actual day. Don’t get me wrong, we have a nice day too 😂 but I enjoy the things we do either side mainly.

I always do the kids an “activity” advent calendar. Mainly for my son but to also include my stepchildren/the whole family at weekends. It’s more of a challenge this year for sure!

Christmas Eve, me and my son go to my mums for the day, swap presents, play games and have nice food. We come home early evening and my partner has the Christmas Eve box out ready (as the Elf leaves it when he goes back to the NP!), do the bedtime routine of leaving things out fo Santa, get the boy in bed and once he’s asleep, we play Santa duties and then crack open a bottle with either whatsevers on TV or a film. We always swap presents that night too so we can look at them properly and then give our all to the kids on Christmas Day.

I absolutely bloody love it. Can’t wait for this year!
