Yeah, why oh why
Because he is a support squirrel!

Am I the only one who thought that duck tower ghastly? It was like watching one of those awful hurried DIY room revamps and looked plain cheap. Stay away from that staple gun Stephanie!
We (the old trouble & strife and I) thought it was horrible. And, now just how would you dust the top of those frames? A tower like that would in fact be better with murials if it had to be decorated, they are creating hundreds of little shelfs for dust! And spiders. And birdcrap.

i think trousers are better suited for that kind of work than a floating yellow dress without underwear and her tits in full and open swing..for everybody to look at...yuk...that woman has no class..nor shame..
Now I enjoyed the little shorts and cropped top Stephanie was wearing for DIY, her legs are in fact fab. I got elbowed in the side, so I must have made it obvious :ROFLMAO:

Why are the rooms that are shown on BBC so secret? really? I dont see why she cant show them before, it will bring viewers to the BBC and vice versa... uuufff

well look at this - another video of Curtis Ryan featuring stepfanny... it appears he has several "famous" friends who appear in his documentaries... I mean here in Canada everyone knows of Salima Ikram!

I was wondering why Teabag kept talking about Starlink as if he was the expert…just thought he was being patronizing again! My favorite part was when he said he could see the little satellites shooting across the sky in a straight line after launch. He can add “astronomical observer” to his vast, impressive resume. Hello, NASA? Do you need a rocket scientist who also has expertise in tea, Spode, oak, and escorts? 😄
Ahem… I did see them too. Twice.

@Clara Burnett told us that this live-in cleaning lady lives in a tiny tiny room behind the kitchen.
I doubt that it is what we can called decent conditions and benefits.
My own experience is from a long time ago admittedly.
I was going to live in Zambia with my first husband back in 1975 through his work. We had our UK house on the market, a place arranged out in Zambia, passed all the interviews, and went to London to meet other employees of the company who were living and working out there 2 months before we were due to go. After meeting them we changed our minds and stayed in the UK. They told us you would have a house "boy", a maid who would cook, clean and look after our children. They would live in your shed outside and take your leftover food to their families. It was normal to beat them if they were "lazy". These expats thought that was acceptable. The wages were a pittance. We cancelled our plans, we could not live that sort of life, it sounded like abuse to me. This was a very long time ago, and I do hope things have changed for the better, but I worked with someone brought up in Zambia in the same town we would have lived in, and things were no better in 1992.
I've had a varied career, I once worked in domestic service at a castle for a year. I lived in at the castle in a converted stable block studio flat. Rather like Natti's. I had decent wages and proper conditions, holiday pay, time off etc. It wasn't a party pad though 😂.
It would be interesting to see how Beatrice lives.

You are totally correct. The husbands were from England and nouveau richer due to their jobs in Singapore.
I know the type, thry have no class and too much money.

I really like Dan and Amaury, I loved their podcast style video on the way to London. I hope life at Lalande doesn’t grind the two of them into the ground.

Well at least in that dovecote there was one yellow bird flapping around...its old footage..Gerry looks much better then now..that greasy Tomaz is still there....we even get a glipse of the cold cow..now discharged to SA..Whats the point of showing all this..its old news..we have seen that staircaise lotts of times...i wonder how long it takes till the staples come of the wall and the whole pigeoncircus comes falling down...
My thought too. The damp will probably rot the ribbons and the pictures will land on someone's head. She should have used nylon picture hanging thread or picture wire, with hooks on each picture . She could have added the ribbon as a decoration afterwards. That would have been safer. The pictures are too heavy for flimsy ribbon and staples..
Death by falling pigeon poo picture.

And my OCD kicks in when seeing this - who on earth is going to dust all these picture frames - I suppose I can answer my own question here - absolutely NO-ONE ......
I used to clean things so high up by standing on a stepladder or standing on the stairs with a telescopic dusting brush . A helium filled balloon with a cloth tied round it, can take dust motes off inaccessible ceilings, you need a very long string on it. 😁 I doubt anyone at Lalande will bother though.

have to say not a fan of both...i also dont want to know what Angel is upto in her towers...seen her a few times...flocking around with scraps of wallpaper and stuffed butterflies...yuk..personally i cannot stand those two..if she stands up in one of her towers she can act as a lighthouse for the ships in the channel...that hair and makeup.and that cloth on her head.all the time....is that an english thing?? it gives me coronationstreetvibes....and that Dick of hers crawling around her...no to mention those overweight kids..they should be aware of this....i wonder whats on the table ala chateau there.....imho...they made a good business..good for them..but i wouldnt go there..nor watch them ..
I don’t mind D&A, I like Angel’s creativity, and her vintage style is my kind of thing ( hence my username). I wear vintage and have mad hair as well, even when doing diy. The headscarf is a good idea for keeping dust and paint off your hair when working, plus she’s way better at curling her hair than I am.

I thought it was horrible and tacky, I hate that colour! And it looked like unsafe working condition especially in inappropriate clothing and shoes I don’t think holding someone by a belt loop is common safety practice anywhere
Typical home DIY bodging. The Chateau DIY is about people doing the renovation work themselves and some are better and safer than others. At least she wasn't wearing high heels!

This is fascinating insight into having domestic staff. I've never known anyone personally who did and only the 'wealthy' around here have cleaners come in once a week.

I like what Angela did to her towers, and I do like the colour of Stephanie's walls.i like the pictures but I'm just concerned about the security of the fixings to the walls. I love the look of them though. I'm concerned that damp may rot the ribbons, rust the staples and they land on someone's head. Could Amaury fix them more securely?
As I said earlier "Death by pigeon poo pictures".
Ah! could it be a possible thread title? 🤔

And as for Scotman holding her by her belt and Hash sitting in a window filming.
I am amazed also that she let Gerry clamber about up there after having been so ill. Hash helped a lot but she has since dropped him after his estimate for the china pantry!

I had a cleaner and I'm not wealthy. I used to have a 100 mile round trip to work to my NHS job ,(it was in a specialist unit) and I was on standby, doibg shift work and working most weekends. He used to come in a couple of hours a week and that made all the difference. It cost me about £30, money well spent as I got leisure time.
As a student I worked evenings and holidays as a contract cleaner for the local authority so I've seen both sides of it. They paid much better wages than local bars and restaurants
