Probably going to be let go from my job because my workplace is closed and I have barely seen anyone other than the checkout staff in tesco and she’s just back from Dubai and heading to Lithuania next week?? It’s just so wrong. I don’t know how these people don’t feel disgusted to be rubbing it in our face and daily pictures while their on a boat in Dubai. How do they think rules dont apply to them! that is completely your opinion. You stay in line with the governments advice and go in and out of rolling lockdowns for years so.
While people safely travel abroad to places that RESPECT restrictions WAY more than Ireland.
I'll give you an example. I went to Spain for 2 months during the summer, got tested on the way out, and back, EVERYONE had to wear masks everywhere over there, or you get a fine. on the street, beach etc, everywhere unless you're sitting down.
Despite Spain being a 'high risk' area, I knew nobody that got the virus, nor did I contract or pass on the virus. Seriously people wake up and think for yourself. Some other countries are safer than Ireland right now.
You really think its safer in Ireland where we don't even have to wear masks on the streets? HAHAHAHA wake up you clown! Sorry but people really need to stop bashing those travelling, it's perfectly safe to do so if you're tested on the way out and back, and it's safer in other countries, because they don't have the 'ah be grand' attitude in regards to masks.
It’s not even the country you’re travelling to or how safe they are that’s the issue. Yes, Spain are doing better with compliance than us because they follow the rules and enforce it properly while we are stuck on this island with idiots like you sitting on a plane in an enclosed place and going to a crowded airport to pick it up on your way home to then go and do your food shop and go home to your family or even just sit in the taxi home from the airport.
The government are begging people not to travel and are now trying to enforce travel to not happen unless essential and yet here you are trying to justify it. Spain were not on the green list so stop trying to argue on this post that you’re following any sort of government guidance.
The point is IF you did pick it up you are putting further strain on the already falling apart healthcare workers and resources we don’t have taking up a bed that needed for someone else all because you wanted a bit of sun. It does not matter that you tested negative when you traveled for all of your made up purposes, it is unbelievably selfish to do while our economy and healthcare system is falling apart.
Nobody is saying it’s safer here and we all need to pull together and stay at home 100% to stop the spread and make it safer for those who are high risk so there is less of a chance they pick it up through community transmission so they don’t die. This is literally a life and death matter and you just don’t get that. You are the community, we all are and the transmission rate is down to our actions, nothing else. “I don’t know anybody who got the virus” is the idiot quote of 2020, well done you absolute cliché.

Don't argue with an idiot absolutely goes for you too. We are all adults and can make informed decisions - that being whether or not you deem it safer to stay in Ireland, or stay away in a country with lower transmission rates until the Irish lockdown is over.
You don't need the government to tell you what's best for you. It is perfectly safe to travel abroad if you are tested on the way out, and the way home. Start using your own brain for once

You honestly sound brainwashed. Saying I pick it up after being away, yet this will be my fourth time abroad in the last 8 months, tested on arrival and departure each time, you just cannot wrap your head around the fact that travelling right now is not the root of evil. It can be done perfectly safe.
