Ahhh she’s obnoxious. As much as I admire this initiative I can’t stand the way she talks - she can’t force brands to donate. She says she knows peoples figures, but she has no idea in reality unless they are publicly being released.

The problem is she dilutes all the good she could do by the bile and absolute balls she comes out with

It’s almost as if she thinks she’s the Be All and End All of the Beauty Industry🙄🙄.

Shame she didn’t make her donation anonymous like some of the others.

Any money she raises will be a drop in the ocean compared to the cash needed to help these beauty businesses. This should be the GOVERNMENT'S job. Raising charity money takes the pressure off the government. Sir Tom raising all that money for the NHS was incredible and heartbreaking at the same time. It shouldn't be necessary and in any event the amount raised was not anywhere near enough to make that big a difference. Sad but true. I wish it had been...truly. It made me sick watching the government applaud him. They should be ashamed.
I can't help but see her now as Caroline "Bob Geldolf shouting "Give me yer fooking money"" Hirons now. Again, Live Aid was incredible, admirable ground breaking and awareness raising but the real economic problems were WAY greater.

Don't vote Tory and campaign for Universal Basic Income!

I’ve only just watched the stories , how would she know the money made by the brands she’s talking about , it’s just like her knowing all the dermatologists 🙄🙄.

random but I just remembered how I thought CH had a mild case of elephantiasis when I first came across her 4/5 years ago 😭 she’s just a large woman with broad facial features. nothing wrong with that! it’s just seeing her Insta bio about her being a skincare expert or something to that effect and it spooked me when I saw her selfies, and people were gushing over her, etc. I was genuinely confused 😂

sadly though I caught the bug, just slightly. I really appreciated the cheat sheets, saw the benefit of double cleansing, and I bought the Pixi Glow Tonic (which was rubbish, imo). the Facebook group is very cult like 😳 a lot of her “freaks” don’t seem to realise they’re being quite sycophantic.

Completely agree.

The NHS is not a charity. It requires proper funding by the Government. :(

The beauty industry is also not a charity. I won’t be donating. I will be getting my hair cut soon (first time since lockdown!) and paying for the service properly (take note Caroline).

I do agree that the UK Governments handling of Covid has been terrible and I feel for those who cannot work. But it is not up to us to pay for this - we simply couldn’t keep all those in business. The Gov need to sort it out.

It’s very commendable what’s she’s doing but tweeting Boris ‘sort yourself out’ something tells me the PM isn’t going to listen to shouty beetroot face woman somehow.

In the meantime though thousands of self employed beauticians are going under, no longer able to feed their kids through no fault of their own. I agree that the government should step in and sort itself out but whilst it does that people are losing their homes, cant feed themselves and can no longer pay their rent.

I am no fan of Caroline and agree that the beauty industry is not a charity, nor would the people most affected view themselves as such. But they spent thousands on making sure they were compliant with the new rules for opening and at the last minute they were told they couldn't open, with less than 12 hours notice.

I donated because my industry has not been affected and I have continued to be able to work from home, so acknowledging my privilege I have donated what I can to (predominantly) women who are struggling because if feels like the right thing to do.

Maybe he got his numeral wrong and meant £7,500.

I don’t know why I’m thinking of excuses , I just can’t believe he’d intentionally donate such a small amount compared to what his company must be worth.
