That is the biggest load of rubbish I've heard in a looong time. I'd REALLY like to know the science behind that.

Just found this thread - really fascinating as I kind of knew Caroline in the past. Well, I didn’t know her very well as she lived round the corner from me (she still lives there) and she was a full time working mum and her lovely husband Jim was the one walking the kids to school daily. Her younger two and my two were in the same class at primary school so we spent a lot of time together.
She’s obviously made a fortune in the past few years, as when I knew her Jim didn’t work and they lived on her salary and had holidays by the sea in Kent or other UK places. Nether of them drove a car and generally lived quite a frugal life.
Bit different now, eh?!

Thank God she’s seen the light about those ridiculous fake eyelashes and isn’t getting them put back on.
I think its stuff like this which makes me give Caroline a lot more leeway with criticism than other Gurus, Instagrammers and YouTubers.
She has experience in the industry she talks about and has actually worked a proper 9 to 5 jobs rather than get everything handed to her on a plate like Ungrateful Pebbles and Zzzzzzz-oella.
I think she is trying to make as much money as possible whilst she can to help her kids get a good start in life (she is employing the two eldest I think). It wouldn't surprise me if she stepped back from the social media side of things as her main source of and do something more behind the scenes, I know there has been talk of a skincare line etc.
For ducks sake. Shes just posted on her stories slagging off a clothing brand for not coming in "sizes larger than foetus". Seriously body shaming women for not being her size and shape? I *adore* being told I'm "not a real woman" because I have a more athletic body type.
Let's be real, there are clothing brands that only cater to a specific size range and that's problematic, but do we really need to put other women down to make a point?

So her latest post is clearly an #AD and yet no sign of the ad placement at all, I follow her on my main account and have done for some time, however if you are not following her you can not comment on the “ad post” says commenting has been limited ... she knows she will get backlash on it .... ODD!! How can she get away with posting a clear advertisement and not starting it’s an ad!

I think all of her posts have the limited comments- I don't follow her and I always remember seeing that everytime I had a look at her page
She’s so quick to sit in judgement of others who don’t meet her meticulous standards, spending hours ranting and raving in her stories, yet she can’t even comply with the very simple advertising laws. How much time and effort does it take to place a prominent #AD on an Instagram post? When it’s your job.
She probably deems herself to be above such things, but this sort of behaviour is exactly what turned me around from liking her to seeing that really she is just out for herself.

I couldn’t agree more .... shes the first to slam a small business like she did to that small barber shop and yet she’s leading on her followers to products she recommends/ uses and yet all she is doing is just being paid!! ... you never see her recommending products anymore that she’s not being paid for or who are her “mates”
I used to follow her advice religiously, back in the cheat sheet days but I honestly can’t keep up with all the brands that she recommends and raves about only to drop when the next best thing comes along. Anything she posts now I just assume is an #AD

They are bad for your eyes in many ways.
But if she likes them then she will make sure to tell everyone that they are not bad and the fact that they ruin your natural lashes make it totally worth it.

I used to like her as well until I realised that everything was just an ad. She’s a bleeping horrible person. What on earth was offensive about that poor woman’s post? She was simply saying that she’s happy in her own skin. And then when someone dares to ask her she has a go at them too!
I think she’s got a massive chip on her shoulder for some reason, and has become overly sensitive to comments around Botox, fillers etc. Her immediate reaction seemed to be that the post was directed at her.
