I hope her little dog is ok. I saw that on the Country Dog Hotel Instagram page where Caroline used to board Ruby that a friend is looking after her and that Country Dog is going to help too.
Didn’t she have a cat as well? Waffle?

Im doing 'OK' now but I really wasn't before. This has been quite a trigger for me but I've kept on keeping on. Thank you so much for your concern 😘
I know, its not something you just get over its almost a life long management of an illness. We are all here if you ever need someone to talk to. Despite people thinking we are all evil trolls, we are actually a very caring and supportive group. My inbox always open.❤

Stephanie Davis releasing a song and singling about "will you take the easy way out? Or fight through this doubt?" In aid of Caroline and donating to a charity that "PREVENT SUICIDE!!!" tops of how ridiculous this is getting.

Buy her single, it'll make a change 😬
She really makes me sick. She is using this to promote herself and her non existent music career. She has taken it upon herself without asking or checking with CF family, and decided to be their spokesperson. She really needs to take a hard look at herself and motives and how this will impact Carrie's family and friends.

I really hope Caroline's family (or management) do something about Stephanie Davis - she's an absolute embarrassment!!

No offence but these people like Steph Davis, Kerry Katona etc are projecting their own experience onto Caroline’s and are a bit too emotionally invested

She had a cat as well. I remember Dawn O’Porter borrowed it last year to try to get rid of the mice in her London home! Can’t remember the cats name though.

Edited to add: Waffle that’s it Thanks to the poster above.

Hi, I've been lurking for a bit, hope it's ok to jump in.

The kips reference in her autobiography isn't an education report on her. It's the nickname for a chap who stalked her. They called him Kips for short because he talked about wanting to bring her Mr Kipling cakes. He was unwell with schizophrenia at the time and believed everything she did or said on TV was a coded message meant for him.

Also with the small amount of knowledge I have, NPD is a definite no, Borderline (EUPD) possibly and there isn't enough info out there to say either way for Bi-Polar.

Lastly, not all threats of self harm/suicide are emotional abuse or manipulative, even if they happen more than once. It is possible that they could just be the outbursts of someone who was just mentally ill and in need of help and I say this with the experience of having a previous partner who was abusive and threatened and attempted suicide and as someone close to people who also threaten it but are definitely not abusive.

Sorry for the long post! 😬

I don't know whether this will help, but:

  • When someone attempts suicide it's not the job of the Ambulance crew to assess that person's risk to self, and whether or not they need hospital admission. That job would be reserved for the Psychiatric Liaison Team/Crisis Team/IHBTT (Intensive Home Based Treatment Team.
  • Refusing to accept treatment wouldn't necessarily prevent that person receiving an intervention. Capacity would be a factor, and there is the facility to place that person under a section.
  • Many Crisis services operate on a positive risk taking approach. Someone saying they're going to kill themselves, or indeed making an attempt to kill themselves, might not necessarily trigger an in patient intervention, but might trigger an intensive home based intervention, or possibly nothing. There is an emphasis on the least invasive intervention possible to ensure that person's safety
  • It is highly unlikely that someone presenting like CF hadn't presented like this before. I would imagine that she has had contact with MH Services in the past, and possibly in the present, and those services would and will have been assessing risk regularly as part of her care package (assuming anyone was currently involved).
  • If the MH Services weren't contacted, the Police wouldn't have been able to remove her from her home, as a Sec136 (place of safety) would only apply to her if she was out of her home
  • Impulsive suicides are difficult to predict, therefore difficult to provide care for. This type of presentation could potentially manifest as numerous attempts and threats of suicide. CF was 40yrs old, and this type of difficulty develops in childhood. She's lived with this a long time.
  • There was an old research paper that suggested that 65% of persistent self harmers eventually complete a suicide, be that intentionally, or accidentally, and a more recent publication (I think from Australia), that suggested that only 1.6% of people who say they're going to commit suicide, actually do.
  • Fame is often a honey trap for people who need desperately for validation that is so explicit that they can't argue against it. Adoration is like petrol. Not everyone in public eye is like that, I can assure you, but it's like the observation that many people in front of the cameras on a regular basis are. no taller than 5'2" :D It's not an exact rule, but it's a. common finding. The paradox is, that with every person that adores you, there are 10 that want to pull you down to within an inch of your psychological life. Some people deal with it, some people can't live with it. So, in finding the thing that helps you live, you also attract the thing that kills you.
  • When we treat people with this kind of presentation, often a fundamental part of that is being boundaried. Boundaries in how we communicate with them, boundaries around acceptable and unacceptable behaviour, and boundaries around how much time the service will devote to addressing that person's issues. We have had people phoning the Ambulance service 50 times a day, contacting our Duty Team 50 times a day, threatening suicide when clear boundaries aren't in place. The client responds well to those boundaries (which might sound counter intuitive), but one of the worst feelings in the world for someone with this presentation, is the feeling you get when you're alone, when you think you're going to be rejected, or when nothing in your life seems certain. Emotional Dysregulation is devastating if unmanaged.
I don't know whether this clears anything up, or is just stuff everyone already knew, but there you go :)
Amazing! It’s times like this where I wish I was brainy!

I’m so bored and frankly disappointed with all the celebs telling us why Caroline did what she did.

There is only one person that can tell us why Caroline did what she did - and that is Caroline. and she’s no longer here to tell us.

I know it’s been mentioned before on the thread but I def recognise BPD in Caroline.

I’m diagnosed and I see so many similarities with some of her erratic behaviour and my own, especially when I’ve been trialling new meds / adjusting meds etc - My Cray has been off the scale.

To add - 1 in 10 with a diagnosis with bpd ends up taking their own life during their life time.

Wow just wow - this is what’s wrong with social media , people are making it all about them it’s shameful ! I Don’t know why I felt very shocked and then reading her mums article really was sad - but with everyone making it about them it’s almost boring me 🙈 I’m done with the click bait headlines. If I was her family I’d have a small funeral and blacklist any knobby influences / celeb pals I know they are entitled to grieve but I’d dread them all attending - her true friends and family must be devastated and so angry right now

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. Makes sense now why the reviewer didn’t think it should have been included.

The world's gone madder than when Kerry Katona was winning mum of the year after smoking through her pregnancies.

Was Caroline being kind when she signed up to do bo selecta to rip the piss out of people on national TV, some of those people were children.

Was Caroline being kind when she worked on reality TV where the bread and butter of it was shaming deluded people with dreams of showbiz?

Was Caroline being kind with her (alleged) regular c usage? Knowingly supporting organised crime and a horrific supply chain.

Was Caroline being kind when she assaulted her boyfriend. The CPS would be under a spotlight with the case so would have only pursued it if they were very confident. She's done untold damage by putting men off from reporting when they are victims.

It's madness I tell you, madness (Phoebe voice)

You can’t blame Caroline for the industry she worked for. If anything she was the one making it a kinder place. Don’t assume about her (alleged) drug use either. Sometimes bring in the spotlight can cause such extreme lows, celebs self medicate with drugs, doesn’t mean they are bad people. I can guarantee she was kinder, and touched more lives than most

I really don’t understand how people saying she wanted to kill herself as a narcissistic thing? Surely in some cases but personally I don’t see it in this one. And she did kill herself so it’s not as though she was just saying it for attention.

Narcissistic people rarely kill themselves as they love themselves too much. Defo don't think that was the case here at all

I agree with this wholeheartedly however still think it's awful the police and cps are getting a hard time over it all especially from Lewis Burton. Ultimately he made a phone call to 999 to say she was assaulting him, the police responding by going to the house and obviously made an arrest based on that 999 call and what they seen in the house. The cps decides to persue based on all that evidence. Everyone makes mistakes but there are unfortunately consequences to mistakes. I work within the justice system, 99 percent of the prison population are vulnerable with trauma, mental health, addiction etc if they stopped pressing charges against vulnerable people there would be no charges being pressed
