The way people are behaving in the wake of Caroline’s death - not just her friends and celebrities but the London tube sign etc, it’s making me wonder if I dreamt up that she assaulted her boyfriend and was accused of domestic violence.

Yes, I wouldn't think they would actually describe what was on it. They will just say whether the evidence supports the complaint or not. There's a possibility the family might disclose stuff to the press from the report, or after the inquest I suppose.
I imagine whatever is on that bodycam footage was DEEPLY troubling for CF. I don’t know how credible the officer’s statement that the scene was ‘like something from a horror movie’ is but there was clearly a lot of blood, which I’m sure was on both CF and LB, she was allegedly in a state of undress, distressed and was drunk too so just piecing the bits of information together - you can imagine a pretty shocking and upsetting scene. She was apparently acting belligerently towards the police officers, I assume that’s on camera, and she may have continued to be abusive towards LB too - and he may have been saying all sorts back to her. CF must have been terrified of stills or footage from that night getting into the public domain and how she would reconcile that with her ‘brand’; her positive, happy, upbeat ‘all about the love’ brand ☹ I’m sure there are ways the fallout could have been mitigated but I can imagine how afraid she was, and that she couldn’t see a way for her life to be back on track after that. If the resports of her suffering bipolar are true then that will have compounded matters even further. I have a friend who has bipolar and unmanaged, she can be completely unrecognisable in her behaviour - it is truly awful and so confusing for her. All of this is just so incredibly sad and I cannot imagine the pain and distress CF experienced in her last months. I hope she has found her peace now.

And what was on the camera footage is likely supported by the 999 call and officer's statements. My personal opinion is that is showed her when her mask had slipped. To friends, she was the life and soul of the party, funny, 'intense' and impulsive are words they have used. I doubt they got to see the side of her the exes did!

It's been reported that she was restrained on the floor during her time in custody. That's never going to be a comfortable thing to watch back, let alone have anyone else see.

Correct. Accused. And I think it would be not only insensitive, but down right cruel to forget that this woman was still a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece and a friend. She had a family, and they have lost someone they loved, regardless of the actions she may, or may not have done. And I’m not sure in any circumstance death by your own mental health from bullying from the media or otherwise is a justifiable punishment for Whatever happened between two people.

I guess that’s exactly it with an illness like bipolar, it gives the sufferer many faces. What I have found interesting is that all her friends seem to have mentioned that she wasn’t perfect, I mean - who is obviously, but there’s a real theme here about that. Like they’re mitigating against information yet to be revealed somehow? And also that although everyone is profoundly saddened, nobody that knows her seems particularly shocked. But I agree with you, I think whatever is on the bodycam is the crux to all of this. Stories in the press can be somewhat diluted with counter-stories sold by the celebrities camp but photographs and especially film cannot really be argued against. If there is footage showing CF drunk, appearing confused and distressed, covered in blood, potentially showing self-harm wounds, being abusive, trashing her flat, and generally having a really bad episode... I suspect the thought of that being in the public domain alone would have been enough to make her feel like she had no other option.

Possibly the friends have seen other sides of her. From my experience with someone in my family that has mental health issues, they can show various sides to various people. Its as if they decide which people should get to see which personality....and some people also take advantage of the fun, manic sides ( enabling) , then not want to deal with the 'fall-out' and consequences that has.

I also read something interesting that discussed whether mental illness is an excuse for someone's behaviour. Generally, if someone is able to hide the abusive side of them from family and co-workers but it comes out with an intimate partner - it shows they are making a choice. It's all very complex that's for sure.

Do people usually take their own life out of nowhere or have there usually been numerous attempts/thoughts of suicide, leading up to it?

I think it can be both. I've known of people who were depressive for years and whose families were always worried that they would eventually do it and also people who you would of never have expected to. I've heard friends say that they didn't see any signs at all. Your own mind can be a powerful/lonely/scary place and despite all of the publicity people still don't really talk openly about mental health. It's hard to admit that you're struggling.

I think the same. I think she likely felt snookered because if the description of the footage is anything to go by, the events of that night are a stark contradiction of the “embarrassing misunderstanding”, “bit of a kerfuffle” she tried to downplay it as. I don’t think she could reconcile with the fact that the public were about to see her acting in a violent and unstable manner. This may have been avoided if she pled guilty but then she would be on record as a domestic abuser and probably unemployable then too.

I don’t think she could see a way out.

I also think it’s interesting that she was in no way wiling to own her mistakes.

Jameela and her were friends back in 2012 if you check twitter, which makeS Jameela targeting the show of her ‘friend’ as all the more sly.

I completely agree. I think the footage is probably very, very upsetting. It will either support the charge of domestic abuse or show her as a manic, unstable self-harmer (sorry I cannot think of a better way to phrase that...)

The not owning her mistakes does stand out! Today I heard some news about Boy George and it reminded me of the time he was done for assault. He said it was as a result of drugs psychosis, he got paranoid about the guy and said it was something he would have never done otherwise but still went to prison for it. Basically, he took the punishment and then came out and rebuilt his career, I had totally forgotten he chained a guy to a radiator and beat him up  He didn't plead guilty either.

I've course I'm not tarnishing all volunteers with the same brush, but none of those three episodes were particularly helpful. Being told to man up, to let a violent man in and stop being rude and to stop being a dramatic burden?

I won't share Samaritims for these reasons. They may be told not to give advice but they still share damaging opinions.
Same. I used to work with someone who volunteered for the Samaritans after work, where she’d spent the day bullying me.

I think it's unfair to say she didn't own her mistakes. She had told friends that she wanted to plead guilty as she did injure him, but accidentally.

And in the statement that she wanted to post before her death, but was advised not to, she said:

I have always taken responsibility for what happened that night. Even on the night. But the truth is .... It was an accident.

I've been having some sort of emotional breakdown for a very long time.

But I am NOT a domestic abuser. We had an argument and an accident happened. An accident. The blood that someone SOLD to a newspaper was MY blood and that was something very sad and very personal.

I think a lot of today's problems are that SM allows people to paint themselves in a certain light and a lot of celebs use their on air career to reinforce that image, when in reality they are very far removed from that squeaky clean persona and they know that any video or image of their true self acting abhorrent will circulate FOREVER. Unfortunately CF maybe the shame of her reality unfolding for all to see was too much

Did she plead not guilty at the hearing? It didn’t sound like she wanted to pleaded guilty as I think it was Danny Cipriani that said she had messaged him saying she was going to have to plead guilty. But it sounded like that was not something she wanted to do. I may have missed some of this though... is it possible that the evidence from that night forced her to change her plea?

Amber beard gets away with chopping Johnny depp’s finger off, punching him, mentally abusing him, trying to ruin his life and take his money, and she still holds her head up high and hasn’t been cancelled. Caroline chucks a phone.

The two instances I’ve experienced: one was depressed, having trouble at home, moved out and stayed with family for a while, returned home, hanged himself. He was 17.

The other, late twenties, she’d just got married about two or three months earlier. Husband went for a jog. Returned and she’d hanged herself. No note, nothing.

I don’t think there is a ‘usually....’.
