I find myself ABSOLUTELY BAFFLED that I’m agreeing with some of Katie Hopkins tweets

Within about 10 days of starting Prozac I literally became obsessed with committing suicide, I thought about it continuously and planned it meticulously. I truly was not in my right mind and even started hallucinating. People underestimate how dangerous these prescribed drugs are. Especially if you mix them with alcohol and or illegal drugs.

Totally agree had really bad experience with venlafaxine during final year at uni combined with diazepam and odd drinking was not a wise mix.
Do we know if Caroline was on antidepressants?

its fine. It was horrible at the time, but both of us are through it now.

Also had to deal with an abusive partner of hers that she couldn’t / wouldn’t get rid of. Or even recognise initially was dangerously abusuve. He left eventually after lots of threats and acts of his own. But she’d reply to his messages and act a part as felt only way to stop him doing something - at the time that just meant the police action I’d started kept being abandoned.

Its all a life lesson. Just sharing as unless you’ve been through some of this it’s hard to understand or see different perspectives or little details.,

A friend of a friend knows Lewis and the self harming rumour is true, that’s why there was so much blood.

I feel so sad to hear that she felt she had no choice but to take her own life. I wonder what David Williams will say given the joke he made about her at the NTAs. Even at the time it felt cruel and unnecessary.

Oh, apologies if this has already been posted but I hadn't realised she was renting a loft in Stoke Newington which is where she was found. I thought she was still living at the place in Islington.

It cropped up on the first thread that it was up for sale with photos etc, but I’m surprised she had moved before it sold.

As someone who works for CPS, I have seen too many DV cases cross my desk. They would not have gone forward with the case, celebrity or not, if they didn’t have substantial evidence to make their case. I’ve seen one too many DV case slip through my fingers due to a technicality.

That being said, I feel dreadfully sorry that she felt that this was her only option.


Her solicitor would have advised her of the probable outcome but that being said, I would have been incredibly surprised if it had been a custodial sentence. Hefty fine, an injunction to stay away from the boyfriend and a suspended sentence is more what I would lean too.

It is really annoying me what the press are writing about this case. There would have been no jury and there’s absolutely no way she was going to prison (I also work in criminal law). And if she was told either of those things maybe she had awful representation! It’s so so sad.

Exactly. If he loved her so much, why did he cheat on her. She took him back and he did it again. Too late now to declare his love. Sadly, this tragedy will make this creep relevant again.

I completely disagree with the idea that court cases should not be open to the public. That is one way of holding our justice system to account, ensuring the right processes are followed for a fair trial and that we are able to hear the facts for ourselves. Behind closed door, how would you be confident that the legal system is working??

The criminal justice system has to be transparent, we cannot knee jerk change the rules because of celebrities going to court. For all we know, the prosecution case might have been weak and CF would have been able to defend the charge - again with transparency this allows any defendant to clear their name publicly with out the public wondering “how they got off”. The transparency works both ways.

Didn't she travel to America recently. It clearly wasn't an issue. I think if you are on bail for certain offences and are thought to be a flight risk you have to surrender your passport

Definitely agree. Very sad but a few of her friends have said she was fragile and had her demons and the ex said she was depressed. I think everything combined didn't help matters.

Years ago I was attacked by my then boyfriend in the street. We were on our way home from a night out, early morning.
3 different people phoned the police and the cars screeched up like something from a movie.
I used to self harm and boyfriend told the police this and when I gave my statement they made me show them my arms. They treated me like I was an absolute nutter and my boyfriend hadn't done anything wrong.
They really treated me like I was scum. I withdrew my statement the next day.
I'm not quite sure why I'm posting this but I feel really uneasy as to why the CPS chose to press charges.
She was obviously very troubled and really needed professional help rather than a prosecution that her 'victim' didn't want.
I think they were trying to make an example of her, but sometimes things aren't always black and white.
Whatever your opinion of her I think this is absolutely tragic and my heart goes out to her family and friends. She must of been in a terrible place to do this.

I agree- she really should of been looked after much more.

The internet is full of basic people being critical of the crown prosecution service and things they have no clue about. Leave it to the professionals. Thank god the average itv2 viewer doesn't run the country.

But the press over here is far from fair. I think the petition is a good thing fair enough have a moan about someone on here but constant bullying and writing lies constantly is wrong and unfair especially when someone suffers with mental health. She done wrong but the speculation and lies were too much. 20 stories printed in last 24 hours regarding katie price on the sun these people are humans with rights and feelings.
