According to my friend it was- she had actually tried to slash her own throat, that was how the whole thing came about. She read texts on his phone while he was asleep and began self harming with a kitchen knife. He woke and tried to stop her. The hitting him in the head with the lamp was as a result of him trying to get the knife off her and she picked up the first thing to hand to fend him off. Almost all of the blood at the scene was hers.
At her court appearance she was wearing a scarf that covered the front of her neck. 😢

Andrew Brady did post the NDA online but I'm sure he's posted a few times about suffering abuse. When the story came out I think that's why everyone new his accusations were against Caroline. I don't think he started a witch hunt. I read her current boyfriend was trying to stop her harming herself weeks ago. It makes sense & also why she wore a scar to court covering her neck but not her décolletage. Seen molly mae from love island and pretty little thing donated to a charity. Also seen in the style have made tops to pre order will all proceeds going to charity.

Tried to kill him? You weren’t there and we don’t know that. Have some respect
her boyfriends own words to the police were "she is trying to kill me mate". Hitting someone with force on the head while asleep is attempting murder, end of

But this is my point; how do you (or any of us) know that didn’t happen? According to some papers that is exactly what happened. I think it’s possible that when the ambulance trust said in their statement that they’d taken ‘a person’ to hospital, the papers assumed it was the boyfriend. Maybe it was him they took, maybe it wasn’t. I think the inquest will answer a lot of questions but until the very few people know what happened, including the press.
Because the police said that she was only taken to hospital after the table tipping incident at the cop shop. That's what they do if you may have been potentially injured while in custody. It protects them.
There is no maybe. It's a simple timeline.
Between the incident and arriving at the cop shop... no treatment needed for her. Just him.
After she went nuts at the police station and tipped up a cop table in anger ... off to hospital.
So the blood at the flat was all his bar maybe some of hers from scratches from the busted lamp.
Unless the cops are liars, which would be unusual in this case as she's just a tiny girl and lewis is a big bloke so the tendency is to comfort and protect the little girlie, not the bloke.

The prosecutor is quoted as saying it in court (although she does only appear to say ‘in custody’ and people think that means a custody suite which is fair assumption tbh). She also said this:
“But Katie Weiss, prosecuting, replied: 'Mr Burton is a victim, he received significant injury to his head.'”
https://www.archive.is/oldest/https...nd-Lewis-Burton-arrives-court-appearance.html

Whereas the police statement contradicts her:
“A police spokesperson confirmed the news, sharing a statement with Metro.co.uk: ‘Caroline Flack of Islington was charged on Friday, 13 December with assault by beating.

‘She will appear on bail at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 23 December. This follows an incident at approximately 05:25hrs on Thursday, 12 December after reports of a man assaulted. He was not seriously injured.’”

So who knows what actually happened with the table or how serious the head injury was? This is why we’ll never get the true story by reading the papers.
The problem is with all this, this is reporter in court trying to write down details as fast as they can. It is so easy for details to get muddled and I think that's why there is multiple different sites reporting different things.

The only thing I will say is the day in court his head looked fine. I'm not saying she didn't hit because I'm sure she did. I just don't think it was the way the procescutor describes it. It also goes well with the rumour the police said to drop it and the CPS said no.

That she was unhinged, an alcoholic & a self harmer who had slashed her neck in the heat of the moment then smashed a lamp over her boyfriend’s head after he tried to stop her histrionics. This was about to be plastered all over front pages and the internet and ruin her career for good. Poor girl. This is tragic beyond words. She needed some serious help.
Slashed her neck? 🙈

Mental health services within the NHS are severely underfunded and straining at the seems, it's true. But surely Caroline's management would have been able to get her admitted to the priory or some such place as a means of helping through this crisis time, as well as beefing up their case that she was too unwell to be tried? Was she was an amazing actress at appearing well? No, because the paramedics were called the night before. She was let down badly by her 'team'. But as I said, I think the antidepressants she was taking need much closer scrutiny.

Rapid Response:
Antidepressants increase the risk of suicide, violence and homicide at all ages
https://www.bmj.com/content/358/bmj.j3697/rr-4
The FDA admitted in 2007 that SSRIs can cause madness at all ages and that the drugs are very dangerous; otherwise daily monitoring wouldn’t be needed: “Families and caregivers of patients should be advised to look for the emergence of such symptoms on a day-to-day basis, since changes may be abrupt” ... “All patients being treated with antidepressants for any indication should be monitored appropriately and observed closely for clinical worsening, suicidality, and unusual changes in behavior, especially during the initial few months of a course of drug therapy, or at times of dose changes, either increases or decreases. The following symptoms, anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, insomnia, irritability, hostility, aggressiveness, impulsivity, akathisia (psychomotor restlessness), hypomania, and mania, have been reported in adult and pediatric patients being treated with antidepressants” (1).
Such daily monitoring is, however, a fake fix. People cannot be monitored every minute and many have committed SSRI-induced suicide or homicide within a few hours after everyone thought they were perfectly okay. https://www.bmj.com/content/358/bmj.j3697/rr-4

This 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 There’s a lot of people on here acting holier than thou. Whilst I would NEVER EVER condone domestic violence, you have to tread carefully because everyone has done something stupid at some point, some more serious than most and they’ve faced the consequences of their actions. I have a friend of a friend (not the best source I know) who, like your friend, was party to what went on that evening and from what they say, alcohol played a huge part in that evening. In my opinion, clearly their relationship wasn’t healthy, they both suffer/suffered with mental health issues and I’ve seen it first hand with a friend that when you add alcohol to the mix - especially when you’re also on medication, it will never end well.
That’s exactly it 💯. I, too am not condoning DV in any way, shape or form. No way! DV isn’t talked about enough and I feel that it should be.However, I was just trying to explain that I can see where it stemmed from and her past erratic behaviour. I’m not making excuses for her or for anyone, I was just trying to put a bit of perspective on it all and to basically just convey my sadness for the whole thing and how important it is to always seek help for everyone involved.

So many people are sharing their condolences or even worse using the death of Caroline to talk about themselves, but none of them were supporting her publicly when she was going thought a difficult time apart from dawn o'porter. Who hasn't posted yet. It speaks volumes.

Social media is full of vultures ready to use a death, any death for their own gain.
I said the same thing, did they all do posts supporting her when she was arrested, when she REALLY needed the back up from her "friends "!!!!

Well said

Kobe Bryant was charged for rape and more or less apologised for raping the woman despite the case being dropped, but has died a legend and an icon. So when people say "if it were a man, you'd all rejoice" I'm literally like where are the examples in history of this ever happening?!
I’m probably going to get a pile on but this isn’t quite the same, as Kobe wasn’t waiting to go to trial, it happened years ago and his death was an accident. That’s not to say Kobe wasn’t a rotter, there’s just a vital difference in the timings of when Kobe died and when CF died.

EDIT: There’s also something to say about the levels of support via friends/family and community. Kobe had a lot of support, from what I can gather, and access to the best lawyers, management etc etc. There’s also the vilification of the victim, who again (and could def be wrong), was hounded. He then went onto becoming a big star and his apology and acknowledgement was seen as some sort of positive (which is a big nah mate in my book).
CF died a couple of months after the alleged assault, which is very sad for everyone. She didn’t seem to receive the same levels of support and guidance, and the boyfriend doesn’t seem to have his name dragged - and shouldn’t - through the press.
I don’t think the two are comparable tbh but I get your point.

Just watched and yes it does seem pretty obvious she’s drinking. It really p**sses me off when a celeb does a dramatic outing of themselves as an alcoholic and then continues drinking like its NBD. Terrible influence
really off topic but you don’t know she is drinking alcohol I’m in recovery and when I’m out I ask for a “gin and tonic without the gin” aka tonic with fruit in in a gin glass. That could be what she is having.

I started doing the same yoga and meditation. Meditation is hard for me. I actually start to panic and think bad thoughts. So weird. My doctors says I am healthy (blood tests etc) How do you know you have an auto immune condition. My whole body feels inflamed and my legs ache and hurt all the time. Plus started getting pelvic pain. I think mentally yoga was helping but my body has never hurt so much and I use to run 10km a day with no problems. Do you have any body pain doing yoga?
Blood tests and MRI scans and appointments with a Rheumatologist. A long, complicated process with years and years of medical history to work through. Quite literally a minefield. Yes lots of pain but some days I would not be able to physically get down the stairs without 5 mins of yoga first. If you believe you have inflammation issues then first step is to completely change your diet and see if your physical and mental health issues improve. Mindfulness can be triggering if in the wrong headspace so just focus on breathing exercises until you feel able to try again. Good luck. Probably shouldn’t message about this again as we are totally digressing from the thread 🙈 x

How do you know....was there drugs involved? a weapon? alcohol? do we know?
I don’t think we know that. But they’re quoting it as assault.battery is what is known as a summary only offence (can only be heard in a magistrates court) and Abh is what’s called an either way offence (can be heard in either) . A judge could decide it’s too serious to be heard in a magistrates court but doubtful, no previous convictions, mental health problems, a judge wouldn’t have handed her a custodial sentence though abh can result in a custodial sentence but not when you’re a first time offender. Just from what I’ve seen in my job I have no knowledge pf details of the particular case. I just feel so sad for her and can see if she had serious mental health problems the legal system would be terrifying.

I just read this too. I’ve seen photos of flowers left outside the old place too, not sure if her bf is living there?
He could be. It could also just be well wishers leaving flowers because they knew where she (had) lived. Tons of flowers were left at George Michael's North London home even though that wasn't where he was found.

Obviously they were going to use all of that stuff but you were implying that it would have backed up the prosecutors comments about the head injury and you don’t know that.

I would like to have known what evidence the CPS had for this case which they thought was so solid though. No point speculating now of course.
This is potentially going to end up as a back and forth, I don't want it to look like I want the last word and then to shut it down but....

I do know that the footage would have backed up the prosecution. The body camera footage captured the injury on the victim's head, it would be down to the defence to show that this injury was not caused by her.
The 999 call has the victim stating "she has cracked my head open. She tried to kill me mate."
The body camera footage also shows her being disruptive to the point she is restrained on the ground.

All of that is absolute gold dust for the prosecution, and backs up their case.
She breached her bail conditions to contact him, sending him a message via social media saying that she loved him. For anyone with any experience of domestic abuse, this is quite a common red flag. If I was already looking at someone for DA prosecution, something like that would further strengthen my evidence.

I also notice that when the victim stated he didn't want to seek prosecution, he stated "She did not hit me with a lamp", what did she hit you with then?
