Reading about caroline flacks suicide really made me think as it reminds me of how I felt as a victim of domestic violence.
I wouldn't blame the cps pushing ahead with the trial. I would blame the media and how the glitz and glam life also catupulates you into a world where everything you do is watched and scrutinised. There is a high price to fame. Yes she made a mistake but it shouldn't of resulted in her suicide.
My ex partner threatened suicide on a number of occasions after hurting me... the difference was what he did wasnt out there for all to talk about and judge.
Whether it was a cry for help gone wrong or deliberate it was clearly a result of the media pressure. She deserved the right to a fair trial and to be anonymous like everyone else.

Jesus I swear I have never seen a bad photo of her?! She was totally my girl crush. I 100% appreciate that being this fit does not prevent someone from having serious problems/hardships, but she was bright, hot as hell, and had plenty of talent. What a bloody waste.

I am ashamed to say that I would watch the police body-cam footage from the evening of the original alleged assault on her b/f in a heartbeat if it was leaked though. I am not proud of that but at least I’m honest. She was reported to be horrified at it being released and in a sick sense that just piques my interest to see it.
Agree with all of this.

I think the fact that she actually committed suicide is enough to say she had a mental health problem.

But a lot of people are using it as a scapegoat to excuse her from her past actions
Oh I know with the suicide thing but it’s the depression/BPD/anxiety people are throwing out I can’t see where it came from aside from her own actions with smashing the guy with a lamp while he slept x

Its because its a very sensitive subject and usually people are pretty vulnerable. it rightly should be dealt with caution not brassness.
Sure, but were there concerns before it all came out about the abuse?

I’m sick of seeing on Twitter everyone saying the media killed her. Ok it might have been a factor but there wouldn’t have been just one reason and we will probably never know. On the daily mail today it says she was dreading the trail and something to do with a video but how do they know this
I’m amazed the narrative is being pushed to be the media. Emma Kenny (from TM) has decided it’s trolls.

Let’s not forget by the same principal you are say CF and alleged so you have to speak of PS as alleged. You can’t pick and choose the word ALLEGED when it suits you. PS has not been found guilty of anything and there is no investigation for him unlike with CF.
I don’t mind if people feel they need to defend CF now she’s passed away but at least don’t be a hypocrit

Where do you get the CPS wanted to make an example of her? It says a lot when they go ahead without the support of the victim. It means they have a very strong case along with all the footage of the night in question
When it comes to PS the evidence is out there for everyone to see - you only have to do a little digging to see video footage etc. And whilst I get where you’re coming from, I work in the media and see first hand how things play out. All we “know” is sound bites from “sources” being fed to us by who? The media! And the CPS doesn’t work as diligently as they would like us to believe again, common knowledge when you do a bit of research

Will the trial still go ahead does anyone know?
if it does, I hope they give it some time out of respect of her family
I don’t think they can have a trial without the person whose o
They are hateful towards women, period. No wonder they are separated from their kids mums, arse holes
i honestly couldn’t believe what I was seeing! Every post was negative towards women. I don’t see how they can help fathers build a better relationship with ex’s and agree access arrangements.
I’m stunned they are even allowed to post what they do

It seems that it was the thought of her ‘dirty laundry’ being aired in court and then splashed across the papers had a big part to play in it from what I’ve read.
as above, if she had plead guilty that would have all been avoided though wouldn’t it? She seems to have gotten bad advice.
If she pleased guilty she would have no doubt lost all her TV work pleading guilty to domestic violence? I think she was probably advised to plead not guilty and then they tried to stop the trial by saying she was ill and suffering with mental health problems but that failed and she was told it was still going ahead and advised she may face a custodial trial therefore, again her career would be over.

She hadn’t been found guilty so we don’t know that she DID anything.
If you carried on reading you’d see someone else said this and I replied:

“No sorry, you’re right that was the wrong wording. I suppose what I meant was people were commenting on a situation she created herself? i.e the violence when she was arrested (in the police station) and reports that she admitted her actions when the police arrived. But no, in the eyes of the law she hadn’t been found guilty.”

I don't think anyones being naive in saying she was a saint, but for that woman to get the back lash, trolling, false stories printed that much to the point she felt there was no other way out.
The same papers that slated her will be the same papers & magazines that run the story tomorrow.
Its about time they shouldn't be able to print anything but SOLID FACTS.....THE TRUTH.

What about all of the good stories that were printed about her....for her beauty etc? Rough with the smooth. Unless her boyfriend was lying and she hadn’t physically attacked him. Then he’s a time waster but something happened that night and apparently her ex boyfriend insinuates there were more revelations to come. Not denying it’s so very sad and feel wholeheartedly sorry for her dear family and friends.

How can she when she publicly posted a video of a message she was leaving for her mum as she was about to kill herself? I think her Mum and Auntie have always looked after him from when he was born. She's not stable enough really. Although she sorted herself for a while but was then working on Hollyoaks so would have needed someone to have him then as well.

Sorry, we are derailing the thread. Maybe someone can open a thread on Stephanie?
She has a thread.

She released her biography already. Storm in a C cup. People will no doubt buy this but only to get the gossip on what happened that night, not because they are I terested or wanting to understand her.

I was wondering. A pop to the shops isn't usually enough time for an overdose so I wondered if she'd hung herself.

But then reports are saying the was pronounced dead at the scene after paramedics confirmed she was unresponsive so if she was alone for 5 hours, I'm guessing it was overdose.
No it was hanging 😔

How do you know that for sure? People talking like they know everything, seriously...

“Police were so concerned about the self-inflicted deep wounds that she was taken to hospital for urgent treatment. The star was treated by medics for 12 hours before she was deemed fit enough to be interviewed by officers under caution.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/10976343/caroline-flack-assault-bodycam-self-harm

I think the police would have serious questions to answer if she self-inflicted deep wounds whilst in custody.
But why would she have turned a table over in the police station hours later?

Surely that would only really happen if she was still in a really agitated state? (like having to be physically restrained by police on the ground)

I don't think the Sun helped by printing a sick Valentine card, which they have now deleted

That’s one way to look at it for sure. The problem is you’re saying ‘I think’ again; you don’t know (I’m assuming). Yes, he might be trying to downplay it for the Court case, or maybe he’s just telling the truth and the prosecution are over-stating it?
I say "I think" because the court case will never be heard so it is not something we can ever know. It is almost guaranteed that the footage and witness statements would have been used by the prosecution, and sounds like it would have been quite effective.
What we do know for sure is that the victim did not want her prosecuted, he has stated this publicly.
