i read an extract from his book where he talked about his first marriage in 1949 being unconsummated - and he was very patient with his wife, as they didnt really know each other that well, then she went into therapy and left him for ther therapist! wtf would you be talking about that now when you are 100 years old!
🤢 inducing over sharing. WOW!!

It's quite disrespectful to his 2nd wife as well as his 1st... I'd be a bit  if my husband started talking about his non sex life with his ex especially 80 years later!

His last Instagram post was an inspirational phrase. I wonder if it was entirely his own doing, or if his marketer daughter was concerned about his image to the end.

Also, that "you can do and be anything you want to be" simply isn't true, is it?

Sod his war experiences and fundraising, he tolerated Terry Wogan's guff and hot air for a day's filming of Blankety-Blank! Now that is true heroism!
Hannah locked her father in a hotel room in Barbados whilst she went downstairs and BLANK

A friend of mine got blocked by Piers Morgan on twitter for asking why he wasn't angry at Cliff Richard's lack of social distancing with Tom.

They had the flag at half mast at Downing Street last night. Obviously the other 100,000 people that have died didn’t really matter, but this one made them take notice.
The amount of money he raised was wonderful, but the focus should have been on the terrible state the NHS is in because it hasn’t been funded properly, not him as a person. As far as I’m concerned this whole thing played into the ridiculous British obsession with world war 2, the stiff upper lip etc. It played into the hands of the government when it should have highlighted their failings.
I only found out his whole family went on a free first class trip to Barbados the other day and couldn’t believe it. Even if it was just before lockdown we had clearly been told to only travel if essential. The same people defending it are the same ones (rightly in my opinion) condemning influencers going to Dubai. Don’t get me started on the Captain Tom Gin!
Urgh, I feel this exactly! Of course he did an excellent job and he was a very lovely old man, but I can't help feeling (cynical, I know) that the popularity and celebrity pushed on him was just an effort to distract from the abysmal job the Government is doing?

Exactly!! It does help if you are white, middle class, and privately educated!

I hope Cliff wasnt doing any reminiscing with Captain Tom!, now there's a man with a few tales to tell. I wonder if he was talking about the Elm Guest House?

I'll not lie. I did wonder if old Tom and "I love a party with an atmosphere" might have visited the Elm Guest house with Kitty....
