A brief recap -

Babs, Stepladder Ste and the ’kiddos’ are on holiday. Top Secret information as to where they are. Took the IC2000 minutes to work it out from the photos she shared.

They are staying at an AI resort and have been off site shopping for tat every day. In bed by 7pm so no mini disco for the kids. Babs shared a TikTok of what she’d dated in a day - beige beige beige, washed down with cocktails, rose (she doesn’t drink wine) and rehydrated with Sprite Zero. Didn’t go to the evening meal/buffet she had a sad looking veg burger and chips from the pool bar

The ‘organisation Kween’ forgot to pack bronzer, tit belts, multiple pairs of shitewater sandals.

We’ve had the usual reminiscing about the 90s. Multiple stories dedicated to it. including memories of her playing card games on the balcony with her mum and dad. She shared a picture is Stepladder playing card games with the kids then changed the memory to it was just her dad that played card games with her when she was a kid.

A tattler has been to The Range today and seen the weight loss boards still for sale. Babas thought she’d managed to get them removed from the shelves! There was also a gender neutral weight loss board that Babs said didn’t exist!

1. The cast of love island don’t look like you because they expose themselves to sunlight round the pool… you’ve spent more time in the room/tat shops than in daylight

2. Can we just address the washing basket?! Surely you just stick your dirty clothes in the other side of the suitcase for going home?! Maybe that’s just too much organisation. I mean why not just have a dirty washing packing cube?! Revolutionary.

I'm just on the (fast) train home from another day working the Commonwealth Games! And catching up on her shitshow of a holiday!
Jesus! Who the hell goes to an All Inc resort and eats at the pool bar at 5pm and then sits in the room all night!
Her YouTube 'come pack with me' video kept me company on this mornings commute into Birm and OMG! She actually says at one point "IF WE GO OUT AT NIGHT".

For the love of god please go out and eat some Paella and drink a jug of Sangria. Find a lovely restaurant away from the hotel and get the children to try it too. Or even tapas , think they’d enjoy that too.

They need to know it’s not just chips and burgers on offer .

The ONLY time my kids were sat in the hotel room watching a movie in an evening while on holiday was when we did a huge road trip in the USA years ago (when we lived there) and we were in Las Vegas! We went to a supermarket for treats for them and they chose a movie on the hotel tv and hubby and I spent 1 hour downstairs in the hotel Casino! They were a little older than Erin and Ethan ( but not much) but much more well travelled and worldly wise! And to be honest getting to watch a movie in the hotel room on their own made them feel so grown up!

Every other holiday we’ve all gone back to the room after being at the pool/beach/ trip out etc and there’s the nightly ritual of showers and getting changed and possibly dressed up and going out for dinner!
Going out each night is fun and exciting when you’re her kids ages! Yes the hotel entertainment might be naff but that’s the point! We went to a fab AI resort in Spain and the highlight was watching my son get up on stage with all the other kids dancing to those well known songs playing at every mini disco in the Med in Summer!!! He loved it! Sometimes we would go to one of the hotel bars post dinner and we’d have cocktails and he’d have a Virgin daiquiri or something and feel SO grown up, and sometimes he fell asleep in the chair and a waiter would bring a blanket for him while we had another drink or a coffee. Her poor kids get nothing but tat shopping and watching a tit computer screen. I feel really sorry for them. We are lucky enough to have travelled all over the world with our kids ( and I acknowledge the huge privilege this is- unlike Babs) and they will tell you the amazing memories they have! Memories of making friends in Spain with lots of other kids aged 4+6 the first time we took them abroad and they ate paella! Of having a hot tub on the balcony of a hotel in Mexico and thinking it was so posh and grown up! Of getting stung by a jellyfish and Mum coming to the rescue with sachets of vinegar from one of the beach cafes, of spending hours with mum and dad digging cars and sandcastles out of sand or in Marbella when they were teens buying knock off handbags and giggling at prospect of trying to pass them off as real to their mates at home!
So many memories I could go on forever but meals out in the evening or all cooking together on self catering hols are such great memories. Her kids get nothing. Not even her attention. She’s a witch and a TERRIBLE mother.

I cannot believe they are in the room again tonight. So we stayed very close to their hotel for 2 weeks in October- in a gorgeous villa with our own pool, because of that we did want to spend some time in the villa so we alternated one night in then one night out- about a 15/20 min walk away is a beautiful marina with lots of restaurants and bars. Or we would hop in a taxi along to the town which is less than 10 mins away and eat looking out at the harbour with the ferries coming in from fuerteventura. They are so odd. What a waste!

Oop hold up… spoke too soon. She found a belt to hold up her cracking rack, so they are off out! Hallelujah

For the love of god take your kids to the disco. Even ste could make the effort and find a pub showing the football Jesus Christ your on holiday. Sat in the hotel at 6pm is beyond belief
