I love it! The writing and acting is particularly well done at the moment between Sheila and Bobby, with the vasectomy story. I think Heather‘s new chap Tom is going to try and control her (plus he’s got a funny mouth). The car buying with Harry and Ralph is entertaining. Is anyone still watching?
Are you able to download the STV app?Can someone please tell me how to watch this in Ireland. Can't find it anywhere![]()
We have the same era of watching! I can remember the body under the patio. The incest storyline, the gas explosion and the Millennium club bomb. So I guess I watched from 1995 to 1999. I dipped back in for the bullying storyline and the 2002 siege but I stopped watching again when they took it off week nights.I was 16 when Brookie ended and I taped the last episode & kept it for years! I don’t know how old I was when I first started watching but I remember so many key moments like the gas explosion! Also Tinhead was my first crush!
I haven’t watched Hollyoaks in years but I will def be watching this!
I loved this era. Think I watched Brookside from 1995-2000Thanks @Maid22 for flagging up this thread! I’ve seen so many storylines mentioned so far that I don’t remember, although i only really watched it from about the mid-90s. Saturday teatimes were never the same without the omnibus!
I remember the body under the patio, the lesbian kiss, the brother and sister relationship and Mick Johnno’s mother-in-law (?) asking him to euthanise her. Casa Bevron!
I’m looking forward to seeing what makes Barry Grant turn rogue as he seems alright so far! Not sure how he can cope with Petra tbh
STV player, from the beginning, we’re up to over 300 episodes nowOh god where can I watch Brookside?
Someone on DS compared his look to Rik Mayall’s character Lord Flasheart in Blackadder, especially the way he was smarming around Sarah. The only thing missing was him thrusting and saying “woof“I also recognised his voice first to, not his face with the floppy hair!!
I did wonder if that was them!! So they look at the Chois's?The first appearance of Max & Patricia Farnham coming to view the house
This feels like the start of Brookside 2.0
Yes that’s all I can see, the woman who was in Shirley valentine!I didn’t watch the very early episodes either. Sky dont make it easy to find the new ones. They’re all over the place!
Don’t remember Harry Cross’s wife. She cant have been in it long. Didn’t he end up in a bungalow?
I think the thing that stands out for me is the language they use. More so derogatory terms in particular. Ofcom would have a field day if it was now!!
Also i cant help but think of Marie and the character she was in Shirley Valentine![]()
He was wealthy but a control freak, with a funny mouth. Feel a bit sorry for Heather, that she didn’t actually meet anyone decent, although at least Nick made her laugh.Barry Grant beats Billy surely?

No, I don’t get the Barry Grant love!
What husband is this? That one with the glasses? I can't believe she didn't marry Tom. She must be bloody mad.
The episodes are there on Sky now (it took them a couple of days to sort it out). They are under the Series 18 packageOooh I can't find this week's episodes on sky
And I can't log in to to STV app as I've forgotten my password
Has anyone else had this?
I'm desperate to see this fight![]()
I'm looking forward to seeing Nicki and Tinhead. I really liked the Shadwick family.I'm so excited for the cross over, though brief it'll be nice to catch up with the Brookie characters,
Wonder if theres enough time for them to also mention characters who arnt appearing? So mentions of the Murrays, Dixons etc
As I did read they asked Sarah White( Bev) but she was filming elsewhere
