@Miss Havisham thanks for that, it's a very interesting insight.
I could never understand the storyline about Barry's father, that felt like it came out of nowhere as Sheila was portrayed as such a staunch Catholic, but Brookie liked to shock, and it sure did that over the years!!

What a reunion!
Shame Dean Sullivan isn't here to be part of it. Trying to work out the logistics of it all here, haven't watched Hollyoaks religiously for a fair few years but have seen Sinbad and Mick, now Donny, scenes which were great! Looking forward to how the story goes there.
Jacqui now Diane would be interesting writing 🤔 🤣

How well has Paul Usher aged?
❤

I've enjoyed the last couple of weeks, love watching Sheila and Billy's relationship grow, Billy was always one of my faves!
Annabelle really showed no remorse about her affair! The pettiness has been funny and good on Gordon for getting his own back!

Agree! It's great to watch Sheila and Billy, they seem very natural together, both as characters and actors.
I don't want to moan, as I'm delighted Brookside is being shown again, but The Rogers bore me to bits, I fast forward through them
Everyone else, just ticking along nicely

I watched quite a few on YouTube - as I grew impatient waiting for more episodes to be uploaded on STV. I stopped though as the quality just wasn’t very good. I’ll pick up again on STV - from where I was up to 😆
Have we got to Rogers affair yet? I remember being gripped by that storyline (late summer of 1983). It was all we talked about at school - and I couldn't wait for the next episode!
Think it’s just kicking off! - episode 75. Heather and Roger’s constant bickering, right from the start, has always been grating. I can’t imagine either of them getting on with anyone!

Bobby was really horrible, maybe feeling guilty on how he treated Damon?
Glad Barry stood up and spoke about him and included Debbie, was nice to see his old mates turn up for funeral, Gizmo had a haircut!
New family moved in,the Rogers, do remember them, but not their stories!
Can tell it's coming up to Xmas, Terry's dad has turned up!

Is it just me, or is anyone else finding it abit meh at the mo?
I am as well. I’m sick of the exploits of Tony and his mates.

I think it picks up later in the year (1991). I’m thinking when Jimmy’s family arrives and when we start seeing the building work to the parade of shops

I've downloaded the STV app, but they're kinda back to front if that makes sense!!!
I suspect they are arranged the same as the STV app on Sky Q. Instead of putting the ones recently uploaded first they are in episode number order so you have to scroll through all the episodes already seen so far to get to the new ones uploaded

When we start getting into the hundreds it’s going to be even more infuriating

I’ve got the last couple of weeks episodes to catch up on. Already I miss Harry, he’s so funny. I remember as a teen being annoyed by Harry but now I’m old I love him 😂 Sheila is really annoying now and I don’t think her a Billy go together well. It shows the writers were desperate for a story line when Bobby went.

How I cringed at Gordon in the pub!
That dry roast, where was the gravy!?
Petra, awful acting, but her slapping her boss, well done.
Love Rogers dad, he was so right about him!

I don't remember the sink hole or the new couple!
I'd have parked my car on the grass to, they were all taking the piss driving over it!
The actress who plays Doreen is in it briefly, the itv drama Until I kill you, first time I've seen her in anything since Brookside!
Especially as there appeared to be access on the lawns in front of the houses on the other side of the close, the ones next to the Grants whose residents don’t feature in the show

I think the actress who played Karen was about 20 yrs old at the time.
Moody 80's teen 😁 I was one
I had a feeling she was older. She def does the moody 80s teen well just a bit over the top imo

Another thing- sometimes i get the feeling esp with the Grants and Bobby and Sheila in particular, that their script is well… not scripted. Does that make sense?

I haven't watched HO for years either! So probably won't have a clue what's going on, but am defo watching, 2 of my all time faves back, Sheila and Billy!
Wonder who else will come back, so many from earlier years have passed
Don't think Terry will be back :ROFLMAO:
If it is Jimmy's funeral gotta have Jackie, Nikki, Tinhead.
Sinbad who has made appearances in Hollyoaks with no name so easy to just make him same character
