Soooo sorry to derail the thread but I’ve not been reading for a while but it’s the girl with the surveyor boyfriend (husband now actually). Anyway, showed him brogans dodgy render. He said that’s why the walls are sponge (don’t need to be a surveyor to figure that out hun) but basically that combined with the holes in the roof will have made the whole back of the house porous and is now an absolute mammoth job….like months of work. Eventually the plaster will start coming off inside etc. Why the hell she did the kitchen before the render ill never know as that’s only about £2k…which being real is just one wild advert. Anyway incase you were wondering we still payed a surveyor to look at our house as incase anything was missed we could go through their professional insurance whereas my husband doing it, would get messy. So yeah…get surveys, even on new houses!
