I just went on rightmove and looked at some apartments/flats (is there a difference?) in Bournemouth and wow you can get some stunners for £300k, even some with water view or a skips throw away from the water. All nicely done up as well and with 2 bathrooms. I would definitely live there over a house, especially if they don’t plan on having kids anytime soon. Yes it would suck not being able to have a dog but it would really up your social life.Fraser lives verrrrrrry close to me... I'm pretty certain he's in the same street, or the next one over.
A one-bed tasteful period conversion like his would have cost ~£160-180k when he bought. It's a naice area and Brogan could have had a beautiful and spacious 2-bed with large terrace/private garden for the price of her house, but as others have said, I think she would have turned her nose up at a flat. She would have had to check about pets too, as quite a few buildings around here don't allow them - it's written into a building convenant. It's certainly a bone of contention at my building's AGM

So harsh. Weve got a cat and my neighbours do and one neighbour has a dog but don't hear a peep out of him.
I honestly wouldn't even consider buying a place I couldn't have pets in! That's one of the reasons I can't wait to buy and not rent! I absolute hate how strict renting rules are on animals - as if children aren't louder and far more destructive!

Same! I have a sea view where I live. It's just me and occasionally my boyfriend. I don't have so much stuff that I would need a house shaped storage container.I bought a flat and not a house for this very reason; I can afford something really nice and no kids and a minimalist.
