I have to say this article was witchy. Oasis, for all their faults, were very popular and their style was cool. I don’t know this writer but I had a look at his picture and that told me all I needed to know.He wasn’t their demographic, Erasure probably was, but certainly not laddy Oasis. That doesn’t mean that they couldn’t speak to some people. They were the sons of immigrants, grew up in a single parent household and did well for themselves.Ok, their song lyrics are not Nobel Prize winning but their music is good. Yes! I saw them around 2019 at some Indie all dayer and they were still great, really glad I got to see them.
Chris Helme from The Seahorses was on the same bill doing some acoustic stuff, he really does have a lovely voice
We did all the anniversary tours a few years back and it was great! Also did a Shine on weekender at Butlins and a couple of Star Shaped day festivals in London. Britpop bands are great for the nostalgia and the front men/women seem to have a real knack for whipping the crowd up. Sleeper, Shed Seven, Bluetones and Ocean colour scene were particular highlights. Then saw Blur and Pulp last year, they were both awesome. I don’t care what people think I still love it all!
