I'm seeing a lot of tweets from people who got tickets but aren't even fans. Quite a few had admitted to only knowing one song. I even saw one saying they had got tickets but never listened to them before and wanted to know what the best song was to get into them.

I didn’t get any. Ticketmaster was a disaster. There are rumours of two more dates being added in Dublin (I have a credible source-someone who works there. The dates are definitely booked).

Yeah, a work colleague was trying. He said he wasn't a fan, but because it had been all over the news he felt he had to try (and he'd decide closer to the time if he wanted them, if not he'd sell them)

People like that make me mad. Reselling should be illegal.

I’ve no issue if people are reselling at face value as sometimes things get in the way and you can’t make an event. But profiteering on something you aren’t into is just fool behaviour

I think some of those are just people trying to wind up people who didn't get tickets.

I just wish ticket agencies would implement a straightforward return/refund system and put the tickets back on general sale.

I'm not sure if it's the same for these gigs, but post covid it's been pretty easy to sell back to the vendor. I had some QOTSA tickets and then I couldn't make the gig, so popped em back on for face value resale via ticketmaster (and same for some Suede tickets I, er, double booked for on gigsandtours as I was pissed 😳). It was a dead easy process. Something tells me that these gigs might not be the same though as it's been nothing short of a shambles by all accounts.

Yep, there are many online who aren't even trying to hide the fact they only bought them so that they can sell them and get a profit. It sucks because no matter what they ask, there will be someone who pays.

Nothing would surprise me regarding this kind of thing. They did it with the Taylor tickets as well.

I remember reading that Robert Smith from The Cure had it so that if tickets to their tour were resold, they could only charge the price they paid for them. He also refused to use Dynamic/Surge pricing and called out Ticketmaster when they used the excuse of fees to charge more. He publicly shamed them online and they had to back down and refund fans. More bands need to publicly call them and other agencies out.

Yeah, my colleagues (some young, some just pure basic) were wrecking my head about 'Oasis' on Friday.

Meanwhile, I purchased Definitely Maybe 30 years ago but can't go on my current part time salary.

I managed x4 after what seems, by all accounts, a paltry 5 hours on Gigs and Tours.

Why anyone would spend their Saturday online like that without being a fan I can’t tell. Every hour on the hour the news was saying resale tix at inflated prices would be cancelled.

felt mental when I final got the confirmation page.

Twickets is fan to fan resale, face value, totally legit. The closer the gig gets and people find they can’t go for whatever reason, the more tix appear.

I'd still hold out hope of getting there, a year is quite a long time to be planning ahead.
