People had a go at out government widening the gap between the two Pfizer doses but now France have copied us by saying they will do the same and I bet they won't be our only European friend to follow our lead.

They haven’t followed “our” lead. France have drawn out the time between doses from 3 weeks to 6 which is what is currently recommended by The WHO. The UKs policy is extending the delay to 12 weeks.

And literally nothing to do with Brexit.

I think we should give this a chance. Boris said it would create jobs so let's see what they are. We've also secured 76 deals already with other countries, which is great. Boris sounded very upbeat today, and before anyone poo poos what he's done we need to give him chance to prove himself.

As for Keir criticising. I agree with other posters who say he does this without giving any ideas as to what he would have done instead.

I'm happy today. I'm giving things a chance and I will not criticise until there are any slip ups.

Surely Boris Johnson has had many years to prove himself? Including a full year as PM. It’s been failure after failure. This deal is another in the long list. I won’t trust him or that lot as far as they could be thrown. The current cabinet could be looking at the sky on fire and still tell the news papers the sky was clear blue snd sunny. Liars, the lot of them.

As for Farage. He needs to just run away, like he always does.

The Lib Dems are an irrelevance these days. More important to see what the SNP will do.

Already a lot being pushed out from SNP about how Scotland didn’t vote for Tory rule (true) didn’t vote for brexit (true) and doesn’t support this deal. Big push today, off the back of this deal, about the need for Scottish to be independent. May 21 Scottish elections will be interesting.

He's my MP. As a measure of how popular he is, he has gone from a majority of 16,000 to 4,000 in 2 elections, plus if the proposed boundary changes go through he will lose his seat.

I’m lost... Ireland is still in the EU therefore would have more rights than British people in EU held countries than British who as a country voted to leave? We haven’t lost the right to live in our own country? We as a nation chose to leave the EU.

That’s like saying, someone from USA is a second class citizen because there maybe British people with a green card/citizenship/dual nationality living there - therefore has more freedom than someone born in the US with a US only passport!

People who live in the uk really need to develop at least a basic understanding of ROI, NI, Britain and the UK.

Not sure it would be that simple. Getting independent would already be a big challenge.

Scotland would continue trading with the rUK as it would be purile not to. And once part of EU, Scotland trades with UK as per Brexit deal. There is likely to be a schengen deal in place as per Ireland.

In terms of the economy, Scotland regularly posts a higher GDP per capita than the UK. In fact, take London out the equation and the rest of England performs woefully in comparison. And this is before Holyrood has full financial autonomy. An indy Scotland would also have a higher credit rating than rUK.

Economic arguments are central to the Unionist defence but the majority of indy voters are younger in age and they are not focused on that rhetoric.

Not to be dramatic but as a language student currently on an Erasmus scheme I am fucking heartbroken about it. Erasmus is so valuable to everyone Europe not just the UK and to think the government can just throw it aside in replacement of Boris' "most amazing new scheme with the best unis" is just horrid. I hope universities have a back up plan with their partner unis in Europe. I'm lucky that I went when I did. It's devastating to all those who will come after my year.

Its not dramatic at all, so many young people have been robbed of the opportunities that being a member of the EU brings. But never mind they’ve got their precious sovereignty back (which they’d never lost in the first place).

Well said, wise owl! My view is that for it or agin it, Brexit is here and we should embrace it and stop knocking our country.

As to the weekend issues at Dover, it was a problem for a day or so and things are flowing freely again already. Passport clearance takes a little longer now, as was already the case going to non-EU countries, and it would seem the French under estimated the demand this weekend and will no doubt adapt to accommodate in future. The media likes to make it look like the sky is falling in, but it was just a small management blip exacerbated by some strikes in France itself.

I'm one of the people for whom Brexit has had a negative effect (business and personal) so I'll carry on pointing out the problems in the hope that the situation can be improved in the future. If others want to see that as "whinging" then that's their issue.

Crticising the way this Government acts is not the same as knocking our country!
