Have you had it? Do you get it regularly? Any regrets?
Considering having botox on the fine lines on my forehead. Possibly a very small enhancement to my lips as well. More worried about the lip as I really don't want to end up with a mouth like Daffy Duck. All advice welcome!

Have it, love it, can't wait for a top-up after lockdown. I have my forehead lines and the '11s' in between my eyebrows done, I don't look weird or frozen but I don't have it done as often as some people do. It depends very much on how you move your face, the severity of the existing lines, metabolism etc but some people top up every 3/4 months so that as soon as one lot is beginning to wear off they have it done again, but I don't. Lockdown has played its part in that, but somewhere around the 7-9 months mark is sufficient for me.

I also have a small amount (c0.5ml) of Juvederm Ultra in my lips. They're naturally asymmetrical and this evens them up and adds a tad more volume and definition to my top lip. Again, I wanted a natural look and I get compliments on them and how good my lipstick looks but even my closest friends couldn't work out that I'd had it done, I just looked better. I was very nervous about choosing the right practitioner, and sought out someone who specialises in the 'no filler' look. I'd recommend looking at before and afters they post, if their social media feed is predominantly full of the look you like, then consider them; if it's full of the look you want to avoid, then steer clear.

My other advice for lip fillers is to expect them to look awful for up to 2 weeks after the procedure; the swelling can be significant and they can settle unevenly. My practitioner made it very clear that they'd look rubbish at first and that I'd go through a stage of regretting it, but once the swelling had settled I was thrilled.

I avoided getting it for ages as I didn’t want to look unnatural or expressionless. Ended up getting some before I got married as I could stand my forehead lines in pictures! Never looked back. I get it every 6 months, just in 2 areas. No one ever thinks I have had it done and for some reason people always comment on my skin and how I have ‘no wrinkles’ lol!! I do admit it if they ask though! They can put it in to look more natural or they can completely freeze you, it’s up to you. Most often you will go back for a top up if you feel you want more as it can take two weeks to work. I have since had my top lip done, it’s barely noticeable but looks great and natural. I feel amazing and my confidence is booming. Before I would always try not to smile or crease my eyes etc. I would say lots more people have it than care to admit. Don’t let the people with duck lips and frozen faces on Instagram put you off, when done carefully and properly it can look natural and take years off you! Also my husband is so against it and didn’t want me to get it done but even he has complemented it!

Botox is actually incredible if you go somewhere decent. It’s super subtle and is the ultimate glow up!!! I go once a year and have it in the top of my forehead and in between my eyes. I go to a place on Harley street that was recommended as one of the best in London. It isn’t cheap but I didn’t want a cheap fix if something was going into my face for a year. I have literally no regrets and would recommend it to anyone. Also if you go to a good place they won’t let you go too far, they’ll usually start with a small bit and see how you feel about it! X

So I’ve been using this for nearly a month now and it has improved my forehead texture/fine lines. It’ll do before I can afford Botox in a few months 🤣

I've had lip fillers (very small top lip and always been an insecurity of mine) if you go to a skilled practitioner they can recommend how much you need and where to set it based on your wants/needs and you really won't look like a duck :ROFLMAO: the first few days the lips will be very swollen and you'll probably think oh dear god what have I done but when it's settled down it should look natural. I've mentioned it to a few people and they were shocked as they had a very stereotypical view of fillers and agreed it was well done.
Botox I've had one time in my forehead and it feels really weird but definitely smoothed out the fine lines. Again, good practitioner and don't go nuts of you want it natural, I think it's a good confidence boost that gets a bad rap personally!

I do. 3 areas every 6 months for £200 and it’s fantastic! My one real treat to myself. I hated my lines and hated smiling because of crows feet, at 43 it’s so worth it

Started having botox 5 years ago, I have 3 areas done and have it just once a year, keeps the cost down and people never notice or at least choose not to mention it as sometimes my forehead moves sometimes it doesn't 😂
I choose not to tell anyone other than a very few close friends/relatives, its like a little mini break for the face, no regrets here for having it!

Loool. That is another thing to check out! I looked at all their IG accounts to see what the outcome for people was 😂. If all the clients looked frozen that was a big no...obv some people want that look but not everyone does.
I would love to post my local booty therapist lady on here, she looks like a frozen piece of fish. I won’t but you can imagine.

She also does body shop at home hun.

Personally I wouldn’t want people to notice because I don’t want to look different, just the best version of myself.

Good work shouldn't be noticeable. It should just make you look fresh and well rather than "done".

I know girls as young as 17/18 who have had botox, very alarming and irresponsible of the practitioners who have administered it.

I had Botox for the first time today! Obviously can’t report back on the results yet but I also had forehead and 11 lines, can’t believe how quick and pain free it was!

I didn't tell my husband when I first got it just because I was curious if he would notice anything's different or if he would find me strange looking. I figured if he never notices it then there's no chance anyone else will as he spends the most time with me. :D

He never noticed, however one morning when we woke up and were still in bed he did comment that I look really cute and "youthful" (in our language it sounded cute not creepy hahaha). So I guess it was working. 😂

Now I just tell anyone I talk to about skin / skincare.
My partner was quite against anything like that but even he admitted he wouldn't have noticed the Botox if he didn't know!

You're definitely the opposite of me, I was like "LOOK AT MY NEW FACE" to all my friends 😂

I’ve had Botox a few times in 3 areas - forehead, between my brows and crows feet/smile lines. I would recommend really looking into who you choose.

The first girl I went to did it and told me to come back for a top up after two weeks if I thought I needed it. It had made no difference, so I went back again. Two weeks passed and still no difference, so I contacted her and she got me to come in again. That time she said “maybe I didn’t put enough in the first time” and did another lot, which still didn’t work. I messaged her again a few weeks on to let her know that it hadn’t made any difference again and she ignored me!

More recently I was a model for Botox at a training school. Even though it was someone in training being monitored by a nurse, it was completely different. She actually looked at my face and worked out how much ml I’d need in each part. Even the technique felt different/better. I was really pleased with the results, no top up needed!
