The kettle thing is a classic example of the rich not understanding how expensive it is to be poor. Yes, buy a better kettle that costs £`10 more, it'll last longer and be cheaper to run. But if you haven't got that spare £10, because you have to feed/clothe your kids then that's it.

I think George Orwell possibly put this better than me.
And what do we do with all the old kettles, which work pretty well, just aren't as efficient as the very latest kettle.

Do we just chuck them all in landfill? Because that's not very green is it?

He's a Busted Flush..and a Fusted Blush. He'll never be forgiven by the public for his arrogant and downright odious behaviours whilst PM.
He even has the gall to pen a "memoir" of a time of deep shame and expects to cash in on it.

He'll have a team of devoted acolytes massaging his bulbous ego but he's burnt his boats in terms of making a comeback. Hopefully the Covid Enquiry verdict..when it eventually is reached...will damn him even further.
I honestly hope you're right. He's an absolute disgrace of a human being.

Why the fuck is he still there?? I mean, I know he's doing fuck all apart from feathering his own nest, but honestly any CEO would have been escorted off the premises within the hour
This is the Tory Party...They give their departing heroes a standing ovation and the chance to create a whole load of new.. ahem... peers of the realm

I see the television news channels are having palpitations over the change in PMs. John Kay on the BBC is like an excited Jack Russell.
Journalism is poor these days but I guess it reflects the state of our democracy.

I think, even though the Tory membership have apparently punished Sunak for stabbing Boris in the back Not because he is too brown the electorate will remember who stood by him while he swanned off on holiday in the middle of a crisis.

Rishi's good points:
He appears to be quite grown up
He can count.

Um, can't think of any more really, but I look forward to "hope every day", assuming he doesnt just mean hoping he doesnt get the bum's rush in the next 45 days.

I would have said, he must laugh them into bed, but he's not even funny. Power, that mighty aphrodisiac - wonder how long Carrie will stay now he has none?
