Anyone going to be watching reminders of him later this month? I know it’s another Colleen hoover but I will stand by it’s honestly one of my fave books 🙈 and I read it after I was off the hoover hype

Has anyone read 56 days? I watched the series last week and then read the blurb from the book. They're very different but I guess it needed to be adapted for American audiences. One thing that made me lol was the pronunciation of Ciara which is an Irish name.

It's pronounced with a hard C, actually just add an a to the end of Kier Stammer's first name and that's how it's said. In the series she was called Sierra 😐 Just an observation of mine.
I read it back in 2022 and loved it. I didn’t know it was a series. Not sure if I’d want to watch after having loved the book.

Mind you, I’m now going to contradict myself with my answer to @aalmaalm and say yes, it’s also one of my favourite books and I’m definitely going to see the film!

So yes, I’m a walking contradiction 😁

I can’t wait for it! And Funnily enough I actually started watching 56 days last night! Haven’t read it though, may give it a go!

I read the blurb, and couldn’t remember a thing about the book even though I’ve definitely read it! My favourite of hers is November 9, I love it!

I read it in 2021 and thought it was brilliant. Another good one of hers is The Nothing Man.

Anyway, I have started the series. Seems very different but still enjoyable at the moment.

I’ve recently read The Nothing Man and agree with @HoGi - really good book.

In other news, I ordered five books earlier. Supposed to be on a book buying ban whilst I work my way through my bookcase, whoops. Book vouchers + double points were too hard to resist.

I’ve gone for:

Three Days in June - Anne Tyler
Slags - Emma Jane Unsworth
It Should Have Been You - Andrea Mara
The Protest - Rob Rinder
Lights Out - Navessa Allen

I finally got my hands on Shark Heart after reserving it from the library last JUNE 😱
Gosh was worth the wait, I wouldn’t give it 5 stars because I’ll admit it took me a sec to get into it but once I did, the tears wouldn’t stop flowing

Ooh I had no idea about this!! 😮 **furiously adds to cart**

A lovely early birthday present for me :D
I'm currently listening to Atlas, The Story Of Pa Salt on audio - read by Richard Armitage and Tuppence Middleton. He's either acting whilst reading it or getting a bit emotional himself.😁

I only got about half way through The Seven Sisters series because they won't discount the next one on Kindle 😂

If I ever go back to it I'll have forgotten everything. I don't remember that character at all even though I've read The Shadow Sister!

I got all mine from the library and then bought the ones I couldn't live without......and I was ruthless with myself, so I think only 3.😁 Naturally one I kept had a bookshop in it. I think that's the one that has Orlando in it.🤔

Has anyone read Stoner by John Williams? I have been seeing it everywhere over the last few months, and then it popped up on kindle daily deals during the week so I had to purchase. Think it might be my next read!

Theo the Golden reminded me of a Fredrik Backman. A bit too sentimental for my liking.

I finally got around to reading I’m Glad my Mom Died and was a bit disappointed. I think I expected it to go deeper. It felt a bit superficial.

Almost finished The Devil You Know- about forensic psychiatry. It’s interesting but I want more somehow, but I’m not sure what!

it’s one of my favourite, but most devastating, reads of all time. it will quietly and politely break your heart 😭

I have just finished Foster by Claire Keegan and I’m sobbing at the beauty of it and raging that it ended where it did. I wanted more. I was that little girl being taken back home and my heart broke for her.

I had to write notes on my phone for this series.
Some books were great, some where pah!

I don't need any books, so they are pre orders so they don't count as buying them now because I don't pay for them now. But I still get the double stamps. 😂😂

The fact that I nearly choked on my drink at £12.99 for a paperback shows how out of touch I am with buying physical books 😂
