Started reading Divine Might by Natalie Haynes. I'm not a fan of her fictional work but her non-fic Greek mythology books are right up my alley. I loved Pandora's Jar and this seems like it'll be a 4-star too.
This is good to hear! I also loved Pandora's Jar but can't take her novels. Especially painful because I would want to read a novel about Medea but Stone Blind was so awful that I can't do it to myself.

I was excited when Stone Blind was first announced but the reviews really put me off. For someone who has such a good take on Greek myths as well as beautiful prose, her novels are a big let down and I can't understand why tbh. But I'd recommend Divine Might, especially if you've enjoyed Pandora's Jar!

Finished Alchemised this morning so have borrowed Sunrise on the Reaping. I'd borrowed it but then got Alchemised so never had chance to read it. Will need to branch out to some new genres in the new year 😂

Pop sockets on kindle are the best, or one of those x straps you can get for them!

Even better is the kindle and snack holder- i sooo look forward to getting into bed with all my kindle stuff!

Yep! ( could very well be for another use, but to my mind its only a snack holder 🤣

Dont forget your clicker too, then you can get all cosy inside your duvet and then click your thing and it changes the page!

Im obsessed with my kindle 🤣 all i’m missing now is those crazy lying down reading glasses and i’ll happy stay in bed 24/7

I have the strapsicle and honestly I found it annoying and it kept slipping off. I get on much better with a magnetic stick on ring with a magnetic pop socket. It probably depends on how your hands are, I've seen some booktok'ers loving the straps.

I draw the line at those weird glasses 😂 my husband would absolutely take the piss out of me if I wore them.

I have a singular strap for my kindle and it took a while to get used to but now I love it. My case has a cover that opens on it so I found a pop socket didn’t work for me but the strap is ideal as I can secure it to the back of the cover. I can also move it from left to right depending on how I want to hold it.

My copy of Introducing Mrs Collins by Rachel Parris garnered a great deal of interest from the librarians when I went to pick up my copy.
It started off as quietly good and has just got better and better. So much so I might need to buy this one! I can hear my bookcase groaning in protest already.🙄😁 If I get the paperback(due for release November 2026), it will give it a year to get used to the idea, (or lull it into a false sense of security that I've forgotten about it!🤭😁)
