Ahh, good to hear, I already have a copy and I love Rachel Parris and the whole Austentatious group!My copy of Introducing Mrs Collins by Rachel Parris garnered a great deal of interest from the librarians when I went to pick up my copy.
It started off as quietly good and has just got better and better. So much so I might need to buy this one! I can hear my bookcase groaning in protest already.If I get the paperback(due for release November 2026), it will give it a year to get used to the idea, (or lull it into a false sense of security that I've forgotten about it!

Have finished the Mrs Collins book. Read it in less than a day. What started quietly gathered more momentum and I was shouting out in my head WTF!

I am so very grateful to this thread for making me aware of the Strike books as I stayed up late finishing Running Grave last night and I’m not sure I’ve read such a run of just bloody brilliant books before. They are so well written, amazingly detailed and so believable. I’m buying the Hallmarked Man later to start reading today but I’m already worried about what to read once it’s done although will be good to be getting back to what I was meant to be doing - reading the books I already own!!! But anything else has a lot to live up to now!
Who has read Katabasis? I reserved it from the library ages ago and just got the text to pick it up. Is it worth it or should I just cancel my reserve and let it go to the next person?

. I kinda wished I’d found them once they were all outI have this one. It has a wrist strap so I don’t lose it down the back of the bed. I notice they list a newer one now as my version is discontinued
Im a big fan of Jane Casey and Tana French. Slightly different from Strike as they are police procedural novels, but both are excellent writers.

I have the SYUKUYU one and love it. It’s the third I’ve bought as I find they last just over a year and then the hinge snaps but that’s only because I use it on a kindle with a case on. It would last much longer if I didn’t stretch it over the case! I recently tried to replace it with a cheaper one (the Stouchi one) and only used it for one night before I returned it. The Stouchi one didn’t feel nice in my hand and the receiver has a light that flashes every time you click - not great when you’re reading in the dark in bed.

Added to my wish list! If people are interested in other Austen-world books the Mr Darcy & Miss Tilney series by Claudia Gray is good fun. It brings characters from all Jane Austen’s books together, set about 20 years after P&P. (The Mr Darcy in the titles is Lizzie and Darcy’s son.) Shes probably taken some liberties with timelines and social circles to make the storylines work but if you’re not too much of a purist they’re entertaining reads.Have finished the Mrs Collins book. Or does it work with a slimmer/lesser part on the screen meaning the words are clear?
