It ends up touching the margins of the page, so doesn't cover the words.Does the part you put on the kindle not cover over any words?
Or does it work with a slimmer/lesser part on the screen meaning the words are clear?

Mine occasionally covers the end of a word but I do use a massive font so I don’t know if that makes any difference. I sometimes find if it’s too close to the edge that it doesn’t always turn the page when I click so I forgo a couple letters for maximum clickability!Gotcha. Thank you for helping the muppet of the group, I think I was using mine incorrectly 🫣
You can change the margins on your kindle too, so that way you don't miss any letters but still get to keep your font nice and large (I think this is the same for all of the kindles, but at least on a paperwhite you click Aa, then Layout, then margins)Mine occasionally covers the end of a word but I do use a massive font so I don’t know if that makes any difference. I’ve only read one Tana French - The Searcher - and really enjoyed it. The follow up The Hunter is on my TBR and I’ve heard good things about her Dublin Murder Squad series.Im a big fan of Jane Casey and Tana French. Slightly different from Strike as they are police procedural novels, but both are excellent writers.
Sorry if they're already on radar: I only discovered this thread on Hidden Books day!
I think that is what I need to compromise on. I managed to finish it, but only with the help of the clues on Reddit!Has anyone done Hidden Books this year, ive just completed it but it was soooo hard!
Oh I didnt think of reddit, but did Google a few of the titles with random words to see if there was anything. The hair one was a toughie and i really struggled with the laptop clueI managed to finish it, but only with the help of the clues on Reddit!
My husband and I were chatting the other day about inventions we couldn’t live without and we had to pick 3. Mine were an air fryer, sleep mask with Bluetooth headphones and my Kindle clicker! I absolutely love being able to get cosy and still read easily. Whenever I read my kindle without the clicker I find myself reading for shorter periods as I miss the ease of the clicker!I think that is what I need to compromise on. Which sleep mask is it please? My husband and I were chatting the other day about inventions we couldn’t live without and we had to pick 3. This is the one I have at the moment. In a similar vein to the kindle clickers, I seem to get about a year out of a mask and then the wires inside come loose and it needs replacing. I’ve used one of these every night since 2021 and I now can’t sleep without one. I connect mine to the Noisli app every night but I used to use it with Headspace. I’ve also connected to Audible too. Highly recommend!Which sleep mask is it please?
Don't forget you're a Tattle influenza now!![]()
I need something to concentrate my mind as I take ages to get off to sleep. The minute my head touches the pillow my mind wakes up and starts going mad. The insomnia is doing my head in!This is the one I have at the moment. I haven't been able to sleep without listening to something in years now, I'd really recommend finding your niche bedtime narration and rolling with itI need something to concentrate my mind as I take ages to get off to sleep. These sound like just the ticket.![]()
Im the same. Been doing ok recently with Boring History for Sleep on spotifyI haven't been able to sleep without listening to something in years now, I'd really recommend finding your niche bedtime narration and rolling with itI like the Calm app for the sleep stories, I also have a bunch of ASMR videos that are on a playlist but I can't stand anything icky so it's mostly normal people talking about stuff with a mellow voice. Audible was a treasure but I can't justify the subscription fee anymore as I never listen. Rosamund Pike's P&P narration is unmatched though, if anyone is considering it.
I have started reading I Who Have Never Known Men and I may have picked the wrong book for such a messy mental health phase, good thing it's beautifully written. Looking forward seeing to how it unfolds.
But this is because there will always be more books you want to read.I am a hoarder. I’ve just had to move all my fiction books so I can paint a wall. This does not include any non fiction, cook books etc (they are elsewhere in the house). I also have over 1000 books on my kindle, kindle unlimited and audible. If I win the lottery and can spend the rest of my life reading I probably still won’t get through them all
