I think I have three to read before the new one but mine are all paperback so tempted to delay reading Running Grave until nearer the paperback release of Hallmarked Man.. altho I suppose that just pushes the problem on to the next book

I love the Strike books. I have the last 2 to read as I was saving them for some reason. I’m tempted to do a re-read of the whole series but not sure I’ll have time before the new book comes out in September.
Yes, no matter what your views of her politics and controversial statements. She’s a fantastic writer and the worlds she creates are unbelievable

Yeah, I can't believe it's more than a paperback for some kindle books now; I'll definitely be looking at my library for this one!
I used an audible credit for it but haven't read it yet.

I’ve DNF for now and might come back to it later.I didn't like the first Seven Sisters book at all and I'm also more of a thriller and smut person
I was mildly intrigued by the mystery aspect of the series but the actual book story promised explosive secrets and I got someone having a tepid affair which was underwhelming to say the least.
I also couldn't stand the sister. She'd been in the country for about 3 days before she started referring to herself as a 'local'. Oh shut up.
Nothing anyone has said in this thread so far has encouraged me to keep reading
finished intermezzo and it’s a solid line between being my favourite rooney (not that i’ve liked all her books) and my most annoying rooney, as her writing quirks were out in full force. parts of it were like yoda had written it (“creased her shirt is” etc).
said it before and will say it again, she writes men way better than she writes women. she can only really do one type of female character whereas peter and ivan were much more multifaceted. her style is so hard to get on with sometimes though.

There's a JKR thread on here where we post any updates about her books as well as stuff about her. Sometimes when she's writing the next Strike book she posts clues on X/Twitter, like her banner picture is often a place that will feature in the book.
I can't wait to read the next one in September! The 7 books that exist so far are gripping and well written. The detail and research you can tell JKR has done! The main characters are 3-dimentional. I definitely recommend

Came on here today to see if anyone is talking about/ has read the meta book.
Like most of the world I am so extra furious with billionaire tech mats at the moment. I’ve banned myself from Amazon but the hardest part was saying goodbye to kindle bc it’s just so bloody easy to download and get that instant gratification, but a few months in and I’m loving it.
I am borrowing more from library and buying second hand copies of anything I really want. I love going back to hard copies and having them pile up IRL rather than on kindle. 10/10 would recommend.
I'm sadly pretty tied to Amazon for options. We don't have the room for physical books and they are winding down and closing our library . That didnt stock a selection that contained much that I wanted to read. Our only book shop closed along with the Waterstones which became Sostrene Grene and the charity shops are dwindling their book selections which again doesn't stock much lit fic etc.

Im going to buy a Kobo or a Boox I think to allow me to still access digital books and also be able to use library's digital books which I cant atm on my kindle.
I dont order physical books from Amazon anymore. I use a variety of Independents and also Waterstones who with the loyalty scheme are not any more expensive than Amazon for most books.
If I want a recently released hard back often the supermarkets have it at Amazon prices also.
I havent actually been buying 99p books recently and I plan on giving up KU.
The only thing I do like is audible may need to scope out alternate options for audio books.
