It is 804 days since I purchased a book - 29th December 2022. Which just shows you how out of control my tbr was. I went through and got rid of all my 'filler' books and trimmed it down to those books I actually wanted to read - which took days to do, at the beginning.

I have read 578 books since I last purchased one. I will have read 604 once I get to the end of my tbr.

In the future I am not going to have more than 8 books on my tbr and I will be really strict about it.

Can't really do the next letter picking anymore, so I am just putting the number into a random number generator and counting down the books that way.

I admire your discipline with not buying books since Dec 2022. My TBR has around 50 - a mix of ebook and paperbacks. I intend to read as many as I can and avoid buying lots of books unless they are part of a series that I've been waiting for. For example I will buy or borrow bookclub books, and I'm hoping to buy Rob Rinder's new book later this year, plus Osman, plus Strike, plus the 3rd Magpie Murders book. I went a bit spendy at Christmas and for my Jan birthday and ended up adding about 20 books to my pile :ROFLMAO:

Once I got past the initial couple of months it has actually been kind of exciting to watch the numbers go down and get closer to zero. I am glad ai will make it before the new Strike book. I was given The Ink Black Heart and Running Grave by my mum who loves then as much as I do.

I like Graham Norton’s novels too, I think I’ve read them all. Some I’ve enjoyed more than others but I haven’t disliked any.

I didn't like the first Seven Sisters book at all and I'm also more of a thriller and smut person 🤣

I was mildly intrigued by the mystery aspect of the series but the actual book story promised explosive secrets and I got someone having a tepid affair which was underwhelming to say the least.

I also couldn't stand the sister. She'd been in the country for about 3 days before she started referring to herself as a 'local'. Oh shut up.

Just starting The Book That Wouldn't Burn. I'm only 30 pages in, so just getting started. But it's already got me intrigued and hooked in. So I think it's gonna be a good one.

I read his first. I notice his latest is on daily deal.

On a side note I am currentlyreading a memoir off NetGalley and absolutely loving it. Its by Candace Chung and is called Chinese Parents Don't Say I Love You. I think if anyone enjoyed Crying In H Mart which i adored they will like this one..its about her relationship with her partner and her parents and food as part of her life and job as a restaurant reviewer. I knew id probably enjoy it when I requested but didnt expect to like it so much

I thought Crying in H Mart was really good so sounds like I’ll love it this one too.

I'm currently reading Probably Nothing by Lauren Bravo and finding it a bit of a struggle. Preloved was one of my top books of last year so I had high hopes for this one, I really like the premise but something isn't hitting? The additional chapter perspective seems odd right now too although I presume it will make sense eventually

I think The Running Grace is the best one yet.

I am rereading that one and Ink Black Heart. A cool 2,500 pages. But I get completely lost in Cormoron's world. One thing JKR does is super character development and sidelines to the main storyline.

I've only read 2 of the series so far but I'm determined to get through them all by the time the new one comes out!
