I’ve read The Safekeep (which I loved), Ministry of Time (good but a lot of people didn’t like it) and Nesting (very moving). My copy of Dream Count came this morning and I’ve got Fundamentally on the Kindle. I’ll probably read all of the long list! My book club group were part of the public focus group for the short listed books last year, so I have copies of all the shortlist. My favourite was the winner!
I’m reading Safekeep atm and Dream Count is arriving this morning. Am attempting to be disciplined and read the ones that I have until the short list is announced but there’s at least 4 I don’t own I really want to read.
Very jealous your book club got to be part of it last year! I read 5/6 of the shortlist and the winner was my favourite too - Enter Ghost was a close second.

There’s nothing more exciting than an unexpected sequel to your fave books being announced! However, question for you all…Am I the only person on this thread that’s never read a single Jacqueline Wilson book?? I was just a bit too old for her books when they first came out and never seen a reason to pick one up as an adult.

Already read Tell Me Everything and already purchased All Fours. None of the others appeal > TBH from past experience if a book wins or is nominated for one of these prixes its generally a good indicator I will not enjoy it. I do read a lot of lit fic but especially these days you tend to get a lot of the same types of books nominated and they just do not interest me
not into crime , thrillers, mysteries but you all are tempting me with this First Born - i think due to the London/ New York aspect..

nope same here.. they werent written when I was a kid and don;t appeal now for various reasons
Waterstones has 50% off the hardback pre-order for The Hallmarked Man (£15!). I think it will be too chunky for a hardback so might stick with kindle
I read Tracy Beaker to my son, but didn't grip me enough to read more haha.
I always assumed I had never read any of her books because I was too old so they passed me by, but google says Tracy Beaker came out in 1991 and I was 13 then. Mind you I was onto Virginia Andrews at that age!
Im not a big crime or thrillers reader if that helps but I did enjoy it
