I really enjoyed the anomaly, had it in a mystery book subscription and it's not something I would have picked up on my own accord but deffo worth checking out for 99p

I read Drowning a month before I was due to go on a flight. I thought I’d best not have it as a flight read for the sake of any passengers that may oversee what I was readingI’ve bought The Anomaly, I’m very intrigued. I’m also a sucker for mid-air flight gone wrong type plots, currently reading Drowning by TJ Newman. Not sure what this says about me

Don;t you just hate it when you are reading and enjoying a book and then you find a huge mistake or massive plot hole?I have previously had to put down a book set in London because the names of places and streets and street layouts?Geography was wrong. Now about 2 thirds of the way into The Berlin Sisters by Soraya Lane. a Jewish girl is being hidden in plain sight working in a shop. I was willing to overlook the fact that nobody seems to recognise her now she has nicer clothes and blonde hair despite being in the same area she used to live in .. until she starts talking to one of her colleagues and reminiscing about her mothers latkes and Matzo ball soup.. and Ethan is not meant to know she's Jewish!!!
I hate that! It really annoys me. I've just finished the Silkworm, 2nd book of Strike series and JKR is just so good at researching the area, even down to the colour of the floor tiles at Barons Court station (yep I'm that sad person that googled it to make sure it was true!)
THIS its so easy these days to do research.... I recently attended an author event and her book is set in NYC and Paris but during lockdowns of course she was unable to visit. She said she used Google Maps for the NYC stuff and visited since with her husband and was pleased how accurate she had got things just from a google search
I finished Rebel Witch by Kristen Ciccarelli last night. I really enjoyed it.
I often find with fantasy that the first book is really good but second books fail to keep my interest. I am thinking of Iron Flame and The Ashes and the Star Cursed King. I rate both Kristen's books 4 stars and both were equally good.

In The Lost Apothecary, the author (presumably American?) has two characters who work in London and Cambridge discuss meeting up for lunchtime coffee as they'll be so close to each other.
That whole book was full of egregious mistakes and nonsense like that.
I saw someone else put that The Favourites was in the 99p deals so I went on my Kindle to get that and then saw The Wedding People advertised in the daily deals section (not necessarily 99p) and went to see how much as I want to read it and it was 99p too!
Well, I've finally done it. Got my paws on a copy of the Rewitched book that has been recommended on here. I do listen even if you think I don't. 
Started reading it and I was giving 3.5 stars, which crept up to 4 and then 4.5 when I was saying to myself I really like it but it's not a 5!
It surreptitiously entwined it's tentacles around my heart, until I found myself at the acknowledgements by which point I was crying.
So yes it's a 5. Can I venture to say it really spoke to me?

OK, every single alphabet-letter-selection book you have all chosen for me has been brilliant. This latest one is no different. First Born, by Will Dean. I just noticed this is 99p right now, you'll be hard pressed to find something more worthy of your 99 pennies today
Such a clever book. I loved The Last Thing to Burn so not sure why this one sat there unread for so long.

I'm currently reading Theodora's Diary by Penny Culliford and I don't know what to think. I mean it's giving me very mixed vibes at the moment as some parts I like and some parts I don't like.

my favourite heyer! i really hope you like it GC, imo sophy is her best heroine ever (and it also has one of the best heyer dogs)

(The) Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson. Won't let me add the image, but this was a £1.99 purchase in May 2018 (earliest book to date I think.) Long before the days of 99p reads, Kindle Unlimited, First Reads etc..
