We All Want Impossible Things by Catherine Newman. This book made me weird cry during my lunch break at work.
What is your favourite non fiction read of this year?
Space - A Human Story by Tim Peake.
What is your favourite audio book of this year?
The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.
What book/s surprised you good or bad? I.e did something not live up to your expectations or did any surpass any expectations you had for it?
Good.... A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. My daughter introduced me to this series and I loved it.
Bad.....How to Kill Your Family by Bella Mackie. I wanted to love it, I really did. But I honestly think the book could have been half the length, and I hated the ending.
If you rate books what was your average rating and/or sum up your year of reading.
My average rating on Storygraph is 4.05, I gave 15 out of 55 books 5 stars this year!
Have you pre-ordered any books for 2025 yet / which books are you most looking forward to being released?
I haven't pre-ordered anything, but I'm really looking forward to the new Gillian McAllister.
Do you have a list of books you are aiming to read next year or do you have any reading goals for the year ahead, this doesnt have to be quantity based or anything like that.
I bought 3 new books today, DallerGut Dream Department Store, Beartown and In Memoriam, so I definitely want to read those.
As far as reading goals go, I'm aiming for 52 books.
