You mean borrow out of area. I think you can. I'm sure I've read on the library website you can request out of area in case you die of wanting.
It's a serious problem to a book addict or so I've heard.

I haven't even started reading this series yet but I have heard some very good reviews so I'm going in with very high expectations. In fact seeing as there are 12 books in the series I plan to read one every month starting in January with the Shipyard Girls, Febuary with the Shipyard Girls at War and so on.
I did the same with Bride and also really liked it! I'm glad I was warned in advance about...certain aspects though.

I’ve just finished The Inmate by Freida McFadden. I read The Housemaid, even though I usually avoid the hyped up books and I thought it was excellent, couldn’t put it down. Followed up with this and I found it a bit disappointing and predictable.
I read all her books earlier this year on Kindle Unlimited. They’re quite formulaic.
Cannot wait for this! My mum read it when she was little, and then read it to me. Both of our favourite books

I've read quite a few of her books (Not the Inmate yet) My least favourite so far has been One By One. Just couldn't get into it. I finished it, but didn't enjoy it.
You might have heard a low moan coming from me this morning, courtesy of my looking on my library account to find another 8 books In Transit to my new library. The fact that they stopped and stared when I went to pick up the 7 that had already arrived and I had to stage a distraction (throw a bomb into the conversation) so I could leg it discreetly, explains it all. 
Thank God it's volunteer run so less chance of bumping into the same people. The words "are they all for you? are still reverberating in my head.
ETA I feel very proud of myself today as I added a recommendation to my library list rather than immediately placing a hold on it.
Anyway enough of my angst and back to books. I forgot to tell you, I think,
that I finished the Rick Astley autobiography which I can recommend. I won't spoil it but his background and life is not what I expected.
I'm currently reading the Lucy Worsley Agatha Christie book which was a struggle to start with, but is getting easier. I have the new Boris J book to read which is a tome so I'll be unleashing myself on that at some point.

I finished In Memoriam last night. I loved it 
one of those books I wanted to read but didn't want it to end as I knew I would miss it!
@LaBlonde this is another one of my favourites this year I read based on your comment, I think we have quite similar taste. Any other favourites this year by any chance?

YYYAASSSS! i wish it could have gone on for about 10000 more pages. i keep looking at it on my shelf and goingI finished In Memoriam last night. I loved it

and omg what a compliment 🥹 it’s not from this year but if you liked in memoriam i would strongly recommend the amazing adventures of kavalier and clay for a start (not the same but similar vibes).
my other five stars this year so far have been: preloved by lauren bravo, the adventures of amina al-sirafi by shannon chakraborty, shrines of gaiety by kate atkinson, and the will of the many by james islington (which i think you’ve read!). in memoriam very much still my favourite of those though
my five stars of all time will be a much longer list but i will consider it

We don't get charged for late books, so if it's the same in your case you could return it late.......So annoyed with myself, I had The Will of the Many from the library and just never found myself in the mood to read and now it has to go back as I can’t renew! I’ll try again some time

ETA. I wish you could tell if someone else has put a hold on one of the physical books you have on loan. It seems to do it on Borrowbox for e books.
Then I wouldn't have the frantic rush to read some books in my on loan pile. I could organise the order in which I read them, if I knew someone wanted one of them.
