Yeah, if you think her voice is irritating then a two hour one woman performance when it’s just her probably isn’t for you 😂
Or the 9 hours odd of the audio book narrated by her :ROFLMAO: @CommentBelow my poor pup got dragged on a long walk one sunday afternoon for me to finish the book as i had about an hour left.

bought think again on the way home, came home to somewhere beyond the sea, placed an order for three more books arriving tomorrow. to think i was going to try and do an end of year book buying ban!

also i’m reading green dot (late i know) and i am already extremely fed up with (a) the lead character and (b) the author’s need to describe numerous characters as looking “like they want to die”. i get it’s meant to be about the ennui of being in your early twenties and in a boring office job that isn’t what you expected but she’s insufferable 🤣 does she stay this way throughout? because right now i want to walk into the book and tell her how annoying she is.

Thanks to anyone that recommend the Prima Facie theatre performance. I went to see the cinema screening tonight and I’m so pleased I got the chance to watch it. Jodie Comer is just fantastic x
Isn't it/she amazing? I don't think she stopped for breath.

Hello! I forgot to cancel my audible membership so now i've three credits to use before it ends, any recommendations for something easy to listen to?

Lisa Jewell books are always good to listen to, gripping but relatively easy to follow along. The Night She Disappeared by LJ was good on Audible

I just went to Sainsbo’s and tripped and fell into the independent bookshop across the road and bought Think Again.

Which are the three you ordered? 👀

Last night I was looking at my TBR thinking - there’s nothing in desperate for so wonder how many of these I can get through by the end of the year. Then an order arrived and turns out I’ve accidentally ordered two copies of something so I miiiigght as well exchange the spare one..

The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore and The Wrong Sister are both 99p on Kindle Daily Deals today
Ooh thank you for this. I had “several months” wait for Cinnamon on Libby so I’ve just bought it ☺ noticed that The Pumpkin Spice Cafe is free for Prime users too, even better!

Finished Faking Friends by Jane Fallon yesterday - she's one of those authors where I just fly through her books and they're easy reads.

Some of the revenge plots were unrealistic but sometimes you just need to suspend disbelief and go along with the ride :ROFLMAO:

Thanks to everyone who recommended Funny Story. I am halfway through and so invested. I fancy Miles! I can’t get enough, I’ll be gutted when it ends 🤣 Blue Sisters audiobook has been entirely abandoned.

i got faebound by saara el-arifi, north woods by daniel mason and welcome to glorious tuga by francesca segal (blaming @StrawberryBanana90 and her investment for that last one!) i also somehow bought the mars house on my lunch break (for which i’ll blame @StephenTJackson as i think he mentioned it earlier) 🤣
I think I did mention The Mars House. It was quite interesting read, real page turner. And some twists I never saw coming

I finished slogging my way through When London Snow Falls. And honestly I bleeping hated it. It just made me annoyed and angry.

North Woods has been lingering at the top of my TBR for ages.. the paperback release should really shame me into reading it ASAP. Also have Faebound 🫣

Charlie was so annoying. But Ben was also too good to be true. And unrealistic as well.

I read it on breaks at work just to pass the time. But it was so awful.

I've just started Meet Cute Club which may also end up pissing me off as well. Not sure yet.

As Tattlers would say I'm absolutely "fewmin" at Amazon. The words sick, torturing B******s have been heard in my house today.
They obviously read Tattle so that they knew how to rattle my cage.
I got an email this morning offering books from an author that both myself and the late Paula Yates adored, which are difficult to get hold of in some cases, as they're probably out of print. So I ran to my bookcase to write down the ones I'd got, then back to the email to see if they had the ones I hadn't.
I clicked on a book then it showed you could only get them on Kindle at the price they were offering. 🤬🤬🤬😫😫😫😫😭😭😭
So I've spent all day on World of Books pacifying myself to the tune of £25 for 9 of the books secondhand. Thank you WOB! Just hoping they come in decent condition.
I can only rant on here as no one else would understand . Everyone else just rolls their eyes and says it's only a book! 🙄
They don't understand that we all need some Darling Buds of May type goodness to sink into . 😥

I paid £2.99 for Cinnamon Book store as I didn't realise 99p deals were a thing! I didn't rate it at all, i was gutted as I liked the pumpkin spice cafe, it was like a different story and then they would chuck the word cinnamon in every now and then!
