Thank you both. I think I’ll give it a whirl. It sounds like a commitment but I’ll get the first one and see how I go! I’ll report back - once it actually makes it to the top of my to the read list

I finished The Castaways last night. I thought the ending was a bit meh and rushed but I quite liked it overall. Started The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo last night too and I’m 25% through already. Im going to be heartbroken when the Euros finish and the Mr wants to interact with me

I've recently read The List which you can get in The Works as part of the 3 for £5 deal. I thought it was quite good, the reveal was unexpected. Blood Orange is in a similar vein to The Silent Patient, not the best book but readable. I've also just read The Family Upstairs which had some good twists but as a Probate Solicitor I was very annoyed by the total lack of research as to what they should have done (this was actually a really small point in the story but I was sooooo cross at how wrong it was
)

Anyone read the stand by Stephen king? I’m reading it just now and I’m struggling to motivate myself to pick it up. I get into it when I do pick it up so it’s not the story. I’m starting to think the length of the book is what is putting me off, I read for an hour last night night and my page count barely increased.
Yes I read this last year and absolutely loved it, probably tied for my favourite book last year!
It had me laughing but also in floods of tears. Great book x

Finished The Other Passenger by Louise Candlish yesterday. Really good and would recommend. Lots of twists and turns.

I did like it, but I'm a huge Stephen King fan, I liked the beginning and then the middle, and the other middle (it's so long it changes so much) but not the ending so much, by ending I mean last couple of hours of reading! I think if you're getting into it when reading it you should try and stick with it but maybe turn the 'time left in book' thing off!
I’ve not read The Stand but I’ve found that struggle a lot with Stephen King’s books. I love his writing and the stories once I’m in them but they often feel like a massive slog. I remember reading IT on my honeymoon and it felt like it was never ending!
